I am not a hater I do not see the point, but seriously? Can some one point me in the direction of why this guy is good? I have caught him twice once while waiting for fly lo and the other waiting for samayian and both times got very irritated and found his sets shocking in the most awful sense of the word. His mixing did my absolute head in, it was just ridiculous it was not a dj set it was throwing (predominantly bait) tunes together and shouting over them in a really silly un funny fashion.
I actually would like to get into to this guy because he plays with all the artists I really admire, but I do not get this? Cud someone point me to something that will make me understand this new craze? Dubstep supports enough bad mixing as it is.
Only looser wannabees spew bs like this. ^^^
and your basing that opinion on what? U carnt just call someones opinion bull shit, this forum gets redic wen ppl post replies like that.

this boy is off the CHAIN.
he was one of my highlights of sonar, i dont get the bad mixing comments, basically he takin it back to hip hop block-party styles, along with Hank Shocklee (Bomb Squad) n a few others.
He's infusing the swagger and mixing styles of hip hop with bass weight and taking a the DJ game back into the realms of entertainment, instead of some pretentious twat messing around on a 10 minute mix of identical tunes.
aint gonna be everyones cup of tea, or for all hours, but BIG UP THA MFGLK

its just GLK's style man. He plays with these artists because the guy does have a unique style and a love for music. I opened for him a few months ago here in Phoenix and he slayed everyone. We couldn't dance hard enough! Not every DJ has to look serious, have the most rinsed mix, or have the deepest tracks. Although that is awesome to have in itself, look at GasLamp's mixes he puts out if you want something more traditional in the DJ sense I guess? Completely different from his live sets. He is an entertainer.

After a Low End show one time my girlfriend was like... "I dont mean to offend you with this, but you kinda remind me of a Fraggle when you're up on stage..." to which he calmly replied "Nah, more like Animal from the Muppets."
Big up GLK, sick every time!

it's possible he's been watching a bit of girl talk.
Dj Craze is another one hitting the bass weight with a bit old skool party vibe

I lost respect for him when he sold me a mix CD for $10 claiming it was his, when i know it wasnt. As i had already bought the original about 2 or 3 years earlier.
And i really dont get the hype... fair play to dude, but i just dont get it.

vancouver has there own version of GLK, accept he plays live, gets wilder, had midi-synched strobe lights with his set-up, and has a better stage name - LONGWALKSHORTDOCK.

couldn't find any of his dubstep flavour on youtube, but it's out there.

Saw him play before Flying Lotus and I was hoping for so much more. 90% of his set was gratingly shite Dubstep tunes, I had been hoping for hip hop or anything else for that matter just not Dubstep, especially not the tunes he was playing

we've got him coming over to London in August to play a show at the Legion with Brackles, Oneman and some others. Will put the flyer etc up when its ready.
P.S He is heavy!! Good to see a DJ 'doin it for the kids' and actually enjoying himself.
