Looking forward to the NZ v England tests, Anderson is probably going to break 300 test wickets in this series. He's a top bowler and really deserves this milestone.

Glad to see the Indians sticking it the Aussies :)

Yeah we've probably gone overboard sending our coaches overseas to lift the standards.
But it was getting boring beating everybody all the time.
What typifies our generosity of spirit is that,
if you chooms were in a similar situation in India,
we'd feel sorry for you & wishing you well.

It's pretty obvious we don't foster spinners because of the pace wickets at home
and, for the same reason our batsmen don't face a lot of spin.
I'm actually pleased that we're struggling in India because the new faces will be forced to harden up
and learn to face spin by the time they get to England.
Having seen some of the young English batsmen out here in 20/20s
I can't see us winning the Ashes this time around.
But, again, that's a good thing for competitive world cricket.

I put absolutly no emphasis on t20 anymore.
Pakistan destroyed us over the wknd.
It's not a good representation of a team's strengths imo.

it seems to have finally stopped raining in NZ, its almost like having a test here in summer.

I wonder if, having seen the way Australia are playing in India, England will look at creating a few dustbowls and picking both spinners (although that is rather dependent on Swann getting back to fitness by then as he's out for both NZ series atm :( )

It's a real shame that swann is out but I'd rather have him fit for the ashes, plus this finally gives Tredwell a run in the side which I think he has earned!

Hopefully play can start today and England can win the match inside 4 days

I'll be praying to the rain gods all day :)

Tbh its a carbon copy of the first test in India- sounds like we basically threw all our wickets away. Looked through the papers this morning, not too happy here: "embarrassment', "disgrace" etc. :corncry:

Fair play NZ, definitely played an awful lot better than we did. Still, anything can happen in test cricket!!
