Hell they were paying companies to not show their titles on Sony at E3 to give a false sense of exclusivity.
The Halo & Fable audience only sells so much, and not too many parents are willing to shell out $500 on something that won't have good value for quite some time, same with the fanboys who are willing to look the other way at all the problems this console has.
I still think the 360 was a fluke honestly.
They seem to be following the same path they do with OS releases of a decent one then the follow up being completely shit.
sony witheld information because nothing they say would be viewed as positive. Its a dull console gaming year. At the end of a generation, most studios arent jumping to be one of the last titles on this gen. makes much more sense to convert to next gen. Had microsoft not had horrible pr, they would have waited to announce around GTA5 release and no one would care. But the forseeable future is nothing but rehashed sequels, gta5, and the last of us. Its DEAD right now. Microsoft misjudged their marketing and failed miserably to convey their features. The CIA privacy shit doesnt help much.
Sony (smartly) kept quiet and watched the fire burn. How quickly people forget what an abortion the PS3 has been
microsoft should have come out and said "better graphics, native HD, better online support, and our unit will still be cheaper than the PS3 was at launch"
side note: the social media manager for microsoft needs to be fired. Terrible terrible twitter replies
