http://edm.com/blog/irresponsible-media The Lack Of Respect For The Dead, Or How The Media Irresponsibly Assumed DJ Rashad Overdosed On Drugs

glad to see someone put this into words. i had been saying all along that the term "paraphernalia" is very vague and doesnt imply hard drugs, and since the actual cause of death hadn't been determined that all of the speculation was pretty baseless and unnecessary

Still can't get over the fact Rashad & Spinn were supposed to play here at the end of the month.

Never seen him live before or any footwork artist before (besides Kode9 playing some), I was so so excited and really couldn't wait to see him and Spinn. Most excited I'd been for a night for a long long time. I mean, like I was crazy crazy hyped for it :(

Alas, I will never get to see a set of his.

This is you

No one cares who is the king of footwork. No one, it is literally the least important thing in the world. Thinking about it means you need some actual priorities in your life.
mIrReN wrote:LOL gene what are you trying to do? because it reads as stupid
I know you're a little sensitive to people thinking stuff that you don't think. But it's a simple matter of soiree expecting people to care about Rashad's death the way he cares and demanding sincere sympathy from people who just can't muster it up. I was being helpful in saying that some people don't care, and he'd be better off looking for people who do.
skimpi wrote:thx for ruining thread with your arguements
It's impossible to ruin a thread. What you do is let it ruin it for yourself by getting pissy over posts you can ignore.
bennyfroobs wrote:pointless debating for the sake of being argumentative

and this bit lol ->

If you don't think it's a numbers game, then you shouldn't argue against me when I say that footwork only affects a couple of thousand (a number) people at most, and imply that he affected more people than that
Anyone can point out anything being 'fraff', if you can't back it up with any actual points, then what I'm saying, which is actually argumented, carries a lot more substance than any of the hot air you're posting. As usual, though.

I didn't start an argument. Soiree was affected by the death of DJ Rashad and he said that he was upset with people just saying that 'they don't care much for footwork/Rashad'. I pointed out that when people say that, they do it because they feel uncomfortable lying to him about how they truly feel about Rashad's passing because they can't be the type of supports he wants them to be, even though they would want to. People said they don't care much about Rashad's passing out of kindness, and it was insensitive on his part to expect them to care. I only intended to contribute a perspective.
tacospheros wrote:you literally admitted you're "incapable of sincere sympathy " in this case so get the fuck out of here
I didn't. I said he shouldn't demand people to be deeply affected by the death of DJ Rashad because he is deeply affected by it and if he wants to mourn, he should do it with likeminded people already, rather than people who aren't into footwork. I didn't say that I'm incapable of sincere sympathy, I think you are an idiot who has problem with reading comprehension. What I said was fair and constructive.

I don't understand what you're gaining from picking fights with me in a thread that you feel was ruined by me supposedly picking fights.

Seriously DSF, this is like another low of irrationality. Rayman was ACTUALLY trying to start an argument over who is the kign of footwork and I'm the bad guy for telling soiree that he should look for support from likeminded people? Or pretty much any one who, in this thread, took pointless shots at me while I've been pretty fair? It takes two to argue, anyway. I wouldn't have responded if soiree hadn't. Try to be somewhat reasonable for once.
