The last few fifas have all been like that. The player with the ball will rarely get away from defenders, even if its Walcott trying to get past Carragher.

You just have to time the through balls perfectly

Gonna pussy out and get SimCity tomorrow even though it's getting so much hate. $40 for it plus DeadSpace 3

Pretty sure they will get things ironed out in time.

Damn, Deus Ex (you know, that game I like) has been done for the WII U with all DLC included, improved graphics, completely reworked and ghost-able boss fights and hacking/menus on the little touch screen thing while you keep your view of the game on screen. Makes me wish I had one. http://uk.ign.com/videos/2013/03/23/deu ... s-pax-east

Playing Skyrim again with the new DLC and a shit ton of mods. Forgot how good it is.
If you haven't played Skyrim in a while because it got boring, try playing again. Its one of those games that you can keep coming back to after taking a break from it.

I'm playing on Master difficulty (Enemies do double damage and take half damage, messes with the scaling a bit but makes it more fun IMO)
Got a nice little Assassin character going on. You level up insanely fast on Master, I've done about half of the thieves guild quests and started the Dark Brotherhood ones and I'm level 30.
100 sneak and 100 smithing already. (Fuck smithing after the patch, so boring)

Some of the mods I have installed, from visuals to immersion to gameplay tweaks: (All lore-friendly)

Immersive Armours
Immersive Weapons
Realistic Ragdolls
SkyUI
Immersive Hud
Simple Crosshair
Realistic Lighting Overhaul
Duel Combat Realism
Arrows and Bolt Tweaks
Enhanced Blood Textures
Improved Combat Sounds

also I can't wait for the next Fallout!

"The boss fights are now as they should have been," Emile Pedneault, game designer on the Director's Cut told us today at PAX East. "We took them and completely rebuilt them. We couldn't change [the boss' character] model and the way they need to die because of the story telling, but we changed the level layout. We tweaked their AI and we've added tons of ways to deal with them."

He continued, "You can deal with a boss fight in a stealth way, you can deal with a boss fight in a hacking way. We even have for each boss fight a way to kill them without firing a single bullet."
...I'll have to keep telling myself I can't buy a Wii U just for one game. Especially not one I've clocked in about 1000 hours on already.

Bodes very well for future DX games if they pay this much attention to the fans.

Shit, you can even have the map open on the controller.

Currently beating Resident Evil 4 on professional. Not that difficult other than ammo is scarce in some areas forcing me to buy a rocket launcher for the bosses which is deterring me from buying the chicago typewriter or infinite rocket launcher.

there was some rome total war 2 talk recently, theyve just posted all the playable factions

http://wiki.totalwar.com/w/Factions

kind of sad there's no seleucids but still getting really excited- even if i will need a new pc for it- looks like there'll be a lot more focus on the politics in your land and rebellions by disloyal generals- senate/council telling you to do stuff and getting pissy if you refuse.

You can bet your ass they'll add the Seleucids in DLC, what with the huge demand for them. Pretty happy with the factions myself! Can't help but laugh at all the people on the Facebook page complaining they can't play as Sparta/The Greek Cities, Persia and the Huns, all factions that weren't a major power in the Mediterranean during the period the game's set in.

Playing BioShock Infinite, about 8 hours in and it's so good.

Got XCOM and BioShock with the pre-order, looking forward to playing them too.

Yeah, maybe theyre setting it up so the seleucids follow their historical decline via scripted events like in the europa barbarocum mod of the first game- not much fun to face rebellions every 5 turns.

I also reckon they'll do it so that once you conquer a place you can recrui their unique troops- so if you wanted some Spartan hoplites you have to take the city (or pay double for mercenaries).

I think the Iceni are a bit unnecessary tbh but i'll defo play through everyone else. Think it'll have to be Carthage first though, they were always my faves.

I miss TF2, and it's not cos I can't play it anymore. When I was in high school I was a member of a clan that owned one of the most famous servers in Australia, and every game on our server was basically just like hanging out with mates but it was in game. I even made two of my best mates through the game (they went to my school, but I didn't know them until TF2). That lasted like 2-3 years, but then a whole lot of people left, TF2 started to get a bit bloated and the server community kind of turned to shit. I could play TF2 any day, but it'll never be the same...
