Joined the gym today. Got myself a tub of protein shake as well. Are you supposed to drink it every day? How many times a day?

Depends on your diet plans and your aims bro. If you don't wanna gain muscle mass, then it's not really necessary.

For example, I'm on a low calorie, but high protein diet at the mo, so I have one a day (two scoops) as a meal replacement. When I'm bulking though, I'll have two usually, one as a meal (one of 5/6) and one as a "snack" after the gym.

Totally depends on what you want to get out of the gym.

Yeah I want to get toned,add muscle and body mass. The diet plan that i have seen online are ridiculous though, you have to eat so much and only of certain ingredients.

1200 is stupidly low lol but just eat way more of that sort of food and you should be able to cut nicely, worked for me anyway

Not an expert, but at a basic level, you'll have to bulk and then cut. Eat shit loads > gain weight (inc. muscle mass) > stop eating shit loads and begin eating "less" than you need (gotta eat right though) > lose body fat, become "toned"

I think I'm going to try intermittent fasting. Do you lower your calorie intake or just eat normally (x2 meals) for the 8 hours?
