i don't believe he was getting beat up. he may have gotten punched once or twice, but i would probably tackle you and punch you too if you were following me for 10 minutes...and you looked like you were reaching for something.

zimmerman may not have been successful at his combat training, but he had 10 years + almost 70 lbs on the kid. tell me how you can't defend yourself in ANY sort of way. tell me how a kid is punching you, smothering your face, keeping you down and grabbing for your gun all at the same time?

i'm not going to say it was anything "racial" or whatever, this is just the case of a moron who wanted to be a cop, went too far and isn't taking responsibility for his actions. he also getting charged with second degree, meaning he didn't go out just to kill or w/e, but he'd rather get that than manslaughter - which would give him 30 years instead of 25.
