I would think its an action noise from an NES game. Mario swim noise? fireball? who knows. Sounds like its pitched up a little. Eski snare sounds are cool because they are like a jedis light saber custom built, personal.

The main Eski click is a Plugsounds plug-in preset, under one of the instruments, I forget which. There's a few presets on it Wiley has used on various tracks.

Another click is sampled off a Mario game.

and as pointed out earlier in this thread, the sound zomby uses for gloop and some other tracks seems to be from Joust

although i always thought it was the fireball sound from mario 1

Samples. Not hard at all. Having an ear for samples takes some practice. Zomby has one hell of an ear
