Oh you can obv. But cultural perception is as much a part of the clothes you wear as the fabric it's made of. People either care or don't care about the fabric's role in the aesthetic appeal of their clothing and the same thing's the case with cultural signifiers. It's why you don't wear a dress either (mega assumption! If you want to wear a dress, wear that sunny summer dress ultraspatial! And wear it with pride!), but dress wearing is more culturally ingrained than bandshirts.
liking something is way more important the message behind it. "am i going to look like a izan in this death in june shirt?" fuck that shit. not even worth taking into consideration imo
i get what you're saying though, and i honestly hate that even wearing something means "making a statement" now. if i or you were to wear a dress it would probably mean we're supporting gender equality or gay rights or something like that instead of "they just like wearing dresses"

Does it really sound smoother? I mean as far as I see it if you get the pitch fader at the right spot and nudge the record in time it can stay in time for ages where as constantly moving the fader to get it locked would mean you're likely to move away from the correct speed and have to keep moving it all the time. Unless you're doing super super fucking long techno mixing I can't see how it would be better.

See that's what I do. Doing it without touching the record at all seems to complicate things

yeah in reality i use the combination of two, but trying to match without touching the JOG (cdj) is a good practice imo

Im back on belt drives after using DDs for a few months and now its so hard to ride pitch
