Brother goes away to Napa for a fortnight, spends something silly like £1500 while there on booze and christ knows what else.

Comes back broke as fuck because he cant manage money
First night (well morning after) he comes in while im half asleep asking for money for the train. Fine

Tonight he TEXTS me from other room saying how bad he feels for asking but can he borrow £20 till the end of the week

Now normally I would be ok with this but the last time he borrowed money off me it was £50 ,it took him seven months to pay it back when he had said "till the end of the week"
So normally if I lend someone money and they give me a time frame, that they themselves set for payback and they go over it . I dont lend to them again because they cant even keep their own shit together.

Then again no matter how much of a twat he can be I am still his brother..
Hmm -q-

Goddamn it. No will power. :corncry:

I'd tell him that until he has got the balls to ask you for it directly, he can go and whistle.

220 euros

Car belongs to my dad, otherwise I would just endlessly delay payment.
The fines here in Holland are absolutely ridiculous. They just don't make sense anymore.
A mate recently got fined in Germany for exceeding the speed limit by 30 kilometers and had to pay 30 euros. Whereas here you would be looking at around 380 euros for that. Just mental.

not gonna lie but... 380 euros for doing 30km over the speed limit seems justifiable

okay, i guess it depends on where... on the freeway/autobahn/whatever it isn't all that bad imo, but if you're talking about something else, then yeah, 30km/h over is a lot

i know that feel, i got caught on one just barely and had to pay $480 (386 euros). just silly. could have really used that money at the time too.

I disagree. Having to pay 380 euros because you were driving 130 where you were allowed 100 is crazy imo.
I don't know what you'd have to pay for that in other countries but it seems that the fines here just keep getting more expensive by the year.

340 euros for making unnecessary noise (?), 500 if you don't have any proof of insurance with you, 220 if you're not using a handsfree carset when on the phone, 120 for not wearing your seatbelt, 85 if you don't have your driving license with you... I don't think that's justifiable.

 im not interested in the other shit, but speeding fines have their merits.
honestly dont think you quite realise the difference beween 100kmph & 130kmph...
i agree, at 380 euros its a way of collecting revenue, but for fuck sakes theres a reason why we have speed limits in the first place anyways... dont wanna pay the fine? then dont speed? simple.

I never speed, hyper miling actually was my reason to try and make the light.

Guess I'll hate the police too then, seems like they are really trying :W:
If I would just see like 1 highway patrol in a year I would be happy, but they just let all those assholes run 200
and pass jams on the emergency lanes etc..

^^ oh no, the speeding thing wasnt directed at you, i meant in general. and yea, cops are stnuc lol

sidenote:

been experiencing MAD dropouts in serato when i try to record a mix....

figured out its because im trying to record on the same lappy, not enough cpu to keep it from dropping out (which sucks considering i have 8 gig of RAM)

so i popped out my old lappy, plugged in my shitty behry soundcard & the second i plugged the cables in i get a RIDICULOUS amount of static coming through my speakers....

fucking sigh, all i want todo is record some house tunes & 150bpm

played basketball, was shooting around w/ 2 friends, other 2 guys are on the other side of the court

old dude in his 40s comes on court asks if he can shoot around, w/e... he asks if we want to play 3v3, we're like sure cool

old ass dude was in better shape than me, mustve played basketball in college or something b/c he was fucking unreal in the post and was wrecking our shit even tho the 2 dudes on his team were god awful... for every basket we scored he scored 5
worse part was that everytime id try to go baseline on him, or get in the lane, or cross him over, he'd reach back and just grab my arms to foul me so i couldnt score

was absolutely horrible

(except i did do a nasty eurostep past him which was cool (but possibly traveled))
