Hey guys, thinkink of doing a written tutorial of the growls (even though they are not the main thing about this song) in my new track if there is any demand:

They are made with FM8 modulating the operators (I'll do an in depth tuto if anyone is interested)

I would love to do a video tutorial but I cant for the simple fact that my graphics card crapped out last month.. When I get a new one I will Upload one if possible. Also I have mentioned there has to be an easier way to achieve these Growls, I will be continually posting and updating about finding the less time consuming possibilities for making growls on the go inside your productions.

THese latest posts have been sick guys, thanks. I've been playing with Guitar Rigs Formant Filter a bit actually, nice and simple. Guitar Rigs fx overall are great, I use them on everything!

So I created growls pretty close to those but they just don't sound edgy enough.. I know you have said before "There's no real tricks or secrets to these sounds" but its not that easy finding the correct formula using a different DAW.. any suggestions?

And man, these growls sound VERY close to some of skrillex's stuff, i if you could tell us how your patch + processing kind of looks that would be a huge help to many of us.

I have a technique that has a similar sound.. not quite there yet but its about 80 % there! I will be uploading screen shots with a guide on how to do it soon!

I wouldn't either to be honest, keep experimenting you'll get some nice sounds of your own soon! The growl doesn't need to be all that special, if its in the right context it will sound good either way. Omega your growls are sounding pretty good man! Look forward to the tut;)

Found an old flp and did a few changes. Haven't done any growls in months since I don't really use any in my music, but I think it's a cool one. Can be tweaked some more to make it sound even better, but I cba at the moment.
