Can't be a humanitarian and selectively choose who you care about. You either want peace or you don't.
And make no mistake about it... a war with israel will draw battle lines that will put bombs on your doorstep for decades to come regardless of which side your country chooses.

Israel is a powder-keg and has been since it was put there 60years ago
i think its a bit soon to start talking about war with Israel but you're very right in the implications of it, and the danger of it happening
could you go into a bit more detail about what happened with Hamas and Hezbollah? you seem to know your shit!

Hamas is directly linked to the brotherhood. It was founded by members of the brotherhood in the 80's.
Hezzbollah came out of the old PLO days in Lebanon and is just a puppet of Iran and Syrias.
They're all very sympathetic to each other. They all want the same thing. Islamic rule as law and getting rid of the state of Israel. Having 3 like minded fundamentalist groups leading countries (debate palestine at will) all bordering Israel is bad fucking news. If the Israeli-Lebanon scuffle happened today egypt, lebanon, and palestine would press the israeli border. Israel would bomb the shit out of people, and Iran and Syria would have reason to attack Israel, we'd have reason to attack Iran and so on.
just bad bad bad mojo

Probably.... but Israel destroying multiple arab nations in the 6 day war is why there is animosity throughout the region. To them Islam lost.
If this all happened, Israel would likely have another decisive victor which would put the world in turmoil.
Anyone who enjoys their current lifestyle should hope and pray nothing remotely like that ever happens.

I know, but what can we do about it? apart from talk about it and get it in the open. It seems to be a bit taboo with alot of people. Why is that?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_population
makes sense eh?
more jews live in US than in Israel. US is also a primarily christian country which tends to think highly of Israel and frown upon arabs (painting broad strokes here)

its taboo because when people start to even get a glimmer of the fact that our culture is not some benevolent, enlightened big brother keeping the world safe and bringing democracy to all corners, and realise its an exploitative machine keeping the world as stable as possible for its own good, they find out that ignorance is bliss and switch mtv back on.

Palestine is not a country
and to answer it doesn't make it right, but it explains the US and UK interest in Israel

We used to give aid to saudi arabia, we still send aid to egypt, kuwait, lebanon up until recent. The US and UK send aid to anyone whose well being is in the best interest to the US.
We don't get aid because we are world powers and are the ones trying to do the controling.
Once again not saying its right or wrong just explaining
