Sort of is out of context, and no there's nothing wrong with it. It just seems too obvious to me and I can't help but notice it. A prime example would be James Blake's self titled. Much of it is brilliant but sometimes for me he just takes certain concepts (his voice, minimalism) a bit too far for my tastes. I really don't feel "privileged" streaming amazing tracks effortlessly from soundcloud or wherever, if the artist was that much of a dick about himself than he wouldn't release his music to the public.

It does really annoy me though when people sing the national anthem in that cliche, outrageous, self indulgent way everyone seems to do it.

you on about that shite perfomance by Christina Aguilera at the Superbowl? cos that was lacking somewhat in the lyrics department haha

I'm not ashamed to admit that I played white noise for about an hour at an art school party once.

This also annoys me and probably every other fan at every sporting event I've been to where an anthem is performed.

There's a lot in this thread that i don't like but the only thing i could find not really music merit in was that cannibal corpse video. It just struck me as dull and unimaginative.

Cannibal Corpse are a boring band in general but they can play the shit out of their instruments.

Like that but worse ( louder )
