Well I think thats nonsense and it's the guy alone at work, but I would like to know how he got that good at FM synthesis alone and how he came up with that sound. If you have tried yourself, you'll know it CANT be simple "experimentation" because you keep doing circles and never getting results. You always get a really cheap sounding version of that (like the guys on Youtube). You gotta have pretty good notions on what you are doing with FM synthesis to tweak around and come up that sound.
Im not really interested in other bro artists because their midranges sound way too much like default Massive work.

You know a lot of people say that, "there's tutorials on YouTube", but seriously no ones gotten anywhere near explaining what the hells going on in that SMANS drop. Dan Larssen from Loopmasters got really close in sound, but of course he refuses to explain what's happening. From the feel of it though, I think there's more sampling going on than people think. Like its half warped samples and half synths. More traditional film sfx design stuff, especially after hearing from sonny that he warps animal noises in his songs.
