wow just found this thread and going through some wicked patches cheers people

one quick thing though, i'm only just learning about combinator so not very knowledgeable on it at all so there's a few things i need explaining...noob questions

when i open up futures untold's notch filter x there's 2 malstroms in it but i cant get any sound out of them and i'm not sure why? dont shoot the noob

Hi Justanotherdj

The Malstroms have been utilised in those patches for their modulator sections (LFO). The audio inputs and outputs are not connected in anyway to the rest of the patch.

If you wanted to 'play' those filter patches, you either need to connect the Malstroms audio outputs to the Combinators audio input, or create another synth within the Combinator attaching the new synths outputs to the Combinator inputs.

You can assign custom wiring within Reason by pressing TAB to flip the rack around and dragging the wires from one hole to another.

I am super new to this, and i don't want to bother you all, but, where can I use the cmb files? I looked on the web and checked the forum for this question, maybe I'm just stupid.

It's a good question actually, because it is such an obscure file type.

.cmb files are saved by and loaded into the Combinator device in Propellerhead Reason from version 3 onwards.
