Sure it does. Get us off planet and colonize space. Thats the whole point of us evolving and a natural conclusion to our existence . Relieve the earth of trying to achive sustainablity with a limited population. Insects, animals and us are irrelevent to a planets survival. We're nothing more than a parasite. Free energy will allow us to produce crops, farms and harvest species outside of their natural environs so as not to be dependent on existing resources.

Thinking sustainability will be achieved by a bioterrorist virus and mind control to wipe out 80% of the population is just ludicrous cos it still deosnt solve the reliance on fossil fuels or account for natural intellectual evolution.

i havent been reading this thread since about page 12 cos it got REALLY boring and REALLY tedious, but whoever said that free energy would not be the solution to sustainability clearly doesnt have a clue about what he's saying.
