fuckin hell that was such a sick night... memory is very, very hazy though.
luckily it sounds like everyone else was equally battered...

out to the female bouncer making my girlfriend walk up and down the stairs three times before letting her in, out to appleblim for convincing the bouncer to eventually let her in..
all the sets were ridiculous... when Oneman dropped that "it's the waaaaay, it's the way that you love me" tune... blam. fuck off.

stupidly big night.

Haha jokes. Nathan, I never clocked you've been on this forum for time. You and Melson looked pretty wankered by the time I left.Jubscarz wrote: -Walking around Victoria station with el and melson at 8am and finding endless jokes out of normality.
Big night. Its been said by other ppl but one of the best I've been to for ages.
Benny smacked it. Wasn't overwhelmed by the dub at the beginning but I honestly didn't think i'd ever get to hear 'Mawo Dub', 'Indian Dub' (always been a percy, gutted I missed out on the vinyl) and 'Horrorshow' at DMZ these days.
Pretty much everyone else killed it too - 'Decoy', 'Stand', 'Little Man' and Pev's remix of Waterfalls (was willing Blim to play Clunk Click too) are all still ringing in my ears.
Large up everyone I chatted to and I feel like a proper wasteman now for leaving ten minutes before the end and missing out on all the antics on the lawn
Everyone should be ashamed of themselves, it was a poor lawn turn out.Badga Tek wrote:

Just remembered Jubspaz ripping those Rizlas again and again l o fucking l
Also did a quality impression of a nervous breakdown
I probably wasn't there when he played that, but..benjybars wrote:when Oneman dropped that "it's the waaaaay, it's the way that you love me" tune... blam. fuck off.

i can't say thanks enough to everyone for last night. to those of you who recognised me, introduced yourselves, and basically made me feel at home so quickly, big up!
it was great to finally link you guys and check the dance. out to my girl kozee! mala, pokes, deapoh, quest, silkie, skipple, grandal, markle, the two bros at the after party (sorry i can't remember your names!) and your mate with the stripey tee (you were jokes!) badger, dubluke, georgie, sinc vision, ashley... and to anyone else i've forgotten, i'll see you again soon no doubt!
everybody killed it in my opinion last night. like someone has mentioned already, the diversity of the sets was striking and made every moment of the party enjoyable and unique. DMZ smacked it of course - really good to hear loefah coming with some proper different beats, and quest & silkie.... oh my!! those boys are on something else. oneman and appleblim's sets were heavy as well.... i was in bass heaven last night.
so ... play fights, random wandering down back streets and messy after parties - seems some things are consistent wherever you are in the world.
I vow never to booze again...
Damn £5 minimum charge on chip and pin so had to buy two cans every time! Wasted...seriously regretting it now.
From what I remember it was a good night. Thanks to everyone who showed their support by helping me in my hour of need hahaha. Large up Cluekid!
p.s. Anyone happen to spot a yellow IKEA branded oyster card holder containing my Oyster Card, Bank Card and Driving License?
Ales for eveyone!!!!
I heard some smashing rhythms especially on silkie and quests set.
Big up Ashley the drunken soldier, how u feelin bruv?
Yo Jim was good to see you, should've joined us for some lawn antics, standard.Badga Tek wrote:Haha jokes. Nathan, I never clocked you've been on this forum for time. i missed it all due to driver problems, i was considering the long wait and horrendous last bit of buzz journey home, but a sleep in the car seemed the safer optionCorpsey wrote:Everyone should be ashamed of themselves, it was a poor lawn turn out.Badga Tek wrote:

the thing i always love about dmz's is that you realize long after they've past that its the moments in between all the basslines and beats that stay with you.Corpsey wrote:That was one of those DMZs that make you wish DMZs were every month. But obviously if that was the case they'd lose some of that magic.
like the image of 300 hands in the air, or the bassface on the most beautiful woman you've ever seen, or getting a hug from a friend as you smoke cigs outside. queuing up and hearing all the different languages in line next to you. seeing people passing vinyls and cdr's to each other. on and on and on...

Massive night, enjoyed myself greatly. Everyone smashed it, especially Quest and Silkie (what was that tune they dropped after "The Seafront", it was massive). Oneman was wicked, loads of classics and bangers. Appleblim pushing it as always, loving the jungle finish as well. A testiment to how amazing the line up was - DMZ v. Loefah was my least enjoyed set of the night, which isn't to say I didn't enjoy it, of course. Good to see some old faces and meet some new ones. Wicked night, all in all.
Oh yeah, and no perfume man in the toilet. A personal bonus, I hate those bastards.
