i love that tune.Surface_Tension wrote: So I'll let Tool fill in the blanks.
This track is my response to you...
I, met a boy, wearing Vans, 501s, and a
Dope beastie-tee, nipple rings,
New tattoos that claim that he
Was OGT,
back in '92,
from the first EP.
And in between
Sips of Coke
He told me that
He thought
We were sellin' out,
Layin' down,
Suckin' up
To the man.
Well now I've got some
Advice for you, little buddy.
Before you point your finger
You should know that
I'm the man,
And if I'm the man,
Then you're the man, and
He's the man as well so you can
Point that fuckin' finger up your ass.
All you know about me is what I've sold you,
Dumb fuck.
I sold out long before you ever even heard my name.
I sold my soul to make a record,
Dip shit,
And then you bought one.
I've got some
Advice for you, little buddy.
Before you point your finger
You should know that
I'm the man,
If I'm the fuckin' man
Then you're the fuckin' man as well
So you can
Point that fuckin' finger up your ass.
All you know about me is what I've sold you,
Dumb fuck.
I sold out long before you ever heard my name.
I sold my soul to make a record,
Dip shit,
And you bought one.
All you read and
Wear or see and
Hear on TV
Is a product
Begging for your
Fatass dirty
Dollar
Shut up and
Buy, buy, buy, my new record
Buy, buy, buy, send more money
Fuck you, buddy.
Fuck you, buddy.
Fuck you, buddy.
Fuck you, buddy.
since you did it so nicely i will forget you bumped this thread!fbom wrote:

couldn't agree more, sad but true.hibbie05 wrote:i have been put off from purchasing anything to do with surface tension
I wonder why someone who gets our promotional materials sent to their inbox, promotes for certain other entities that could get you the tunes for free, would you buy the tune anyway?ThinKing wrote:couldn't agree more, sad but true.hibbie05 wrote:i have been put off from purchasing anything to do with surface tension
I don't know whether you're trying to push peoples buttons or what but your "self promotion" is nothing more than thinly veiled spamming. Also if the best marketing activity you can come up with is to constantly spam threads with your own releases then you're doing the artists you put out a great disservice. Ever heard of the boy that cried wolf?Surface_Tension wrote:I wonder why someone who gets our promotional materials sent to their inbox, promotes for certain other entities that could get you the tunes for free, would you buy the tune anyway?ThinKing wrote:couldn't agree more, sad but true.hibbie05 wrote:i have been put off from purchasing anything to do with surface tension
For the 5 lost sales, I lament... ok, I'm done lamenting. This thread should have been dead 5 pages ago.

uh, that's not spam. You may think otherwise, but I don't think that's spam. Regardless, it's nothing more than bumping a single thread about the release. Honestly we need to put things in perspective. It's working. That's all the perspective we really need. I understand that some people won't like it. Some people also won't like the tunes. We can't please you all, but I'd like to think I do please most. I know for a fact we pleased the people who bought our release on 12" vinyl or digitally. We thank them kindly and invite them to come again.
We invite newcomers to check us out and see what we're talking about "so much"
It's all mellow on my end. I don't even care, I'm high.

Yo, just put a sock in it man!Surface_Tension wrote:When you post a thread about a release(completely within the confines of the rules here) and new information becomes available about that release, such as a new shop getting it in... being sold out... being repressed... responding and discussion in a thread...
