5 is available if you look though
may try install if its a stable crack just to lose the damn dongle and efficiency wise since h2o cracked version of sx3 with dongle emu ran faster than my legit

i work in a gear shop in a pro audio dept so not full retail cost, but still pricey, but i also make money with my music time to time, so it's only right i pay the developers and software companies to further developments and for what i earn on. you'll find alot of the guys on here using cubase etc paid for it. same goes for plugins etc. if you can afford it it's only right you pay.

steinberg are a bitch to deal with but make solid software. why they don't just have a normal demo is beyond me with the insane ammount of le versions etc they give away with interface purchases

its actually a syncrosoft dongle rather than an older version of cubase. and if you buy a dongle to demo and buy C%, you get the dongle money back.

But yeah, not brilliant really...

I've got a question: is there any way to load a VST without the GUI, so that it shows up like you would load a GUI-less VST? For some reason in one of my projects, the GUI doesn't load in EpicVerb, although the plugin loads fine...

i think ctrl+ clicking the "e" or shift opens up a generic text based plugin editor.

Some of the stuff I read from steiny during my brief foray into the cube was just abhorrent. Like not just a lack of support, but actual derision of their users for attempting to use their product in the manner in which it was intended.

Ok quick question so I've got up today tried loading one of my projects and after 10 seconds of the project being loaded cubase crashes (never done this since being installed 3/4months ago). Does this with all my old projects now apart from 1 or two that only have 3 tracks in them. However when loading a new project its fine, loaded several instances of diferent vsts, recorded notes etc etc.

Runnin Cubase 5 with the latest update. I recon I'll try a system restore to a few days ago then re-install if that doesnt work. Anyone encountered a similar problem?

I'm the last person that should be responding to this, but this might be a vst problem. Maybe wanna temporarily rename your vst folder, so steiny can't find it. Maybe you have to rebuild your preferences?

Sorry I can't really help. Someone will help you soon though, hopefully before all that system restore reinstall stuff.

I'm in C4. Been trying to figure out if there's a tool/setting to do this.

If I have a pair of audio clips next to each other in a track, say starting at 1.1.1.95, is there a way to shuffle them, so clip2 is now before clip1? And so that the pair still starts at the exact same location?

This is common in video editing.

Is this hard to do manually, or do you have to do this 150 times?

not very hard manually, but yeah, just a little timesaver I'm looking for, since I do most things with shortcut keys. could be one shortcut key, instead of 10 annoying adjustments.

ok been scratching my head and searching around a bit, but coming up short...

is it possible to assign the generic remote to a device panel or is there a work around somehow so you can?

i've found a workaround for this panel since it's all midi cc implementations, but not really practical for using multiple panels in the same project, so the question still stands for when i come across say nrpn messages etc
