please post a tutorial man.please
I wouldn't count on him!
I wouldn't either to be honest, keep experimenting you'll get some nice sounds of your own soon! The growl doesn't need to be all that special, if its in the right context it will sound good either way. Omega your growls are sounding pretty good man! Look forward to the tut;)
Thanks man, all i have to do is write on the screen shots and upload a read me file and the growl is yours unless you have FL and all these plugins. Massive, Ohmicide, guitar rig5. That's pretty much it!

So a couple people say that you're normally not one to share, and you prove them right by not doing what you said you would? Not trying to be rude but I think that's exactly the kind of thing they were talking about.
Regardless, I still like you as a producer and would love to see a little peak at how you made some of the growls.
You said you'd share if people were interested, I'm interested

Wether the growls have been done before or not, it still hellps producers get a clear idea of how to create new possibilities! Just saying as producer stay point you learn to manipulate sounds to where things become original and very different than other artists. On that note, i have figured these growls out-now its just a matter of time and work in order to make them my own and sound original. It wont be long before we all hear the next big sound.

Totally in love with it!
I will be sending PM's soon with explained screen shots with a step by step Massive setup and what effects needed to achieve the Growl inside Fl Studio 11.

I would love to see how that growl was created! I use Ableton, so some translation on my part would be in order, but I LOVE the timber of that growl!
I myself have some growls to show! Two (sorta?), one is a Must Die!-esque, wetish growl (I am so bad with descriptions, my god), and another more... Nosier (?) growl... I am sure you can tell them apart
If anyone is interested, the main thing pre-effect was double-notch filter in Massive. In the effects, the MOST important thing was exaggerated EQ modulation... I kinda wanna make a gif of that EQ modulation....

Anyway yea, if interested ima do what I can to help ya!

Definetly! So, well you understand normal EQ right? Whether that be low passing, notching, slight bell curves and such? Well basically take that up UP the gain and or Q!

Check that out (two images), it is just an example of a line of EQ modulations I was using. See how I have that really high peak? That's what we mean by exaggeration.
In vowel movements, that peak moves around (in conjugation with other peaks and notches) to create the vowel sound.

I wouldn't accept that as a vowel form for the eq... look up different vowel setups and automate or modulate the peaks. Thats how I made my growls-you'll see what l mean when I have internet again.. I will upload my tutorial. Its level of difficulty in achieving the growl was fairly simple once understanding the order you need your FX.
I apologize for not uploading sooner.... bare with me! I will help you guys!

General question for those of you with some sampling experience...
Let's say I have a decent bass with some frequencies scattered throughout the spectrum. I route this bass from my synth generator to a bus that splits the frequencies low, mid, and high using a multiband compressor on three separate channels. These channels are all routed to an output where I will be sampling from. My low channel is set to mono and my mid and high channels are set to some arbitrary amount of stereo.
Is it good practice to set my mids and highs to mono as well before sampling and then split and process after? The only reason I ask is because my samples seem to be losing character when compared to my original sound - especially the low end. Can anyone add some pointers? Perhaps I'm overlooking/over thinking something?

I'd say you may be over thinking it but it depends what effects you're adding to each range. If you have a bunch of delays/chourus then thats going to naturally widening the sound, and as things get wider they getting quieter
