Indeed. That's pretty hectic. Imagine if they actually tipped it. Kids flying everywhere.

our school bus used to have a policeman on it everyday for a couple months because there used to be some kids who shot out the windows with bb guns or airrifles when it went through the rough estates, they literally shot the windows out everyday for a brief period...hence the police man

Weekend is unravelling at the seems.
I need to try and sell two sw4 sunday afterparty tickets (Why wont it just sell out its a mad line up!) I even offered one to a friend for free but she is just swamped with work.

Got a sunday sw4 ticket for my birthday from my two closest friends and last week they fell out and havent spoke since..nice and akward.

Saturday I have a whole day in london to myself and fuck all to do and im only there because it was cheaper to stay than go home for a night because of above akward sunday plans.
Would rather be going to the carnival on sunday instead now.

First world problems but it still shit.

No joke, Travel West Midlands started putting Policeman decals on the back windows of the top decks here.

I might be coming up to london on saturday, going to see Jah Shaka if I don't feel too rough after system.

Could link up in the day if you fancy it?

Feeling bummed about my sound. I'm nowhere near where I feel I should be at in terms of production. I've always been rather quick at picking up on things, but production is really challenging me. I need to study up on the basics, mastering, and mixing, stop cutting corners, and quit setting deadlines for myself. I feel like I'm mentally being my own "skateboard dad", and that's just a bad feel.

I know, I get all tryhard about it though. Just the way I am. I just want to be able to play a track I made and think to myself "Damn, that's pretty good, can't believe I made it". It's a stupid goal, but it's truth.

Listen to something you made > 6 months ago and haven't listened to in a while. It's surprising what you disregard in the moment as "Meh" because you've been listening to it so intently for days/weeks... come back with a fresh pair of ears and you'll often surprise yourself.

Well I've completely changed my style since then. My first couple tracks (really dig them) were dnb, and I've been doing dubstep and some other random side stuff since. The track I just finished an hour ago is faster though, it's 170 bpm, not sure what to call it but I'm feeling it. Had some fun messing with synths and kinda ended up pooping it out in 2 days. But I get what you're saying, though when I listen back all I hear is the crap moments where I cut corners and jumped ahead.

thats not what he meant at all :cornlol: he meant that you might just be thinking your tracks are worse than they are because you've heard them too much in the creation process...when you revist older stuff you've made you might suprisingly enjoy it

of course but its the principle of getting what is supposed to be and feel like a fresh cut, covered in fine dust and hairs and the like. ive recalibrated my antiskating and shit so i can play them now, still one unstoppable skip on one track though. shame
