just starting out. Trying to find my sound. some ukg and R&B flavours for your attention on mysapce. Let me know what you think. And any advice on getting louder mixes within ABleton would be apreciated. Just using master limiters to boost signal, but no ideal.
take it easy
compress drums
side chain drums
subtractive eq drum fundamental freq. from other parts of the mix
watch for lack of headroom
Hey guys, I'd love some feedback on a track in progress...

EEEEEEEEZZZZZZZ!
I am new to the site, or at least trying to be apart of it now. And i know the stigma of noobs and what not. But I come with Maximum respect to the producers and dubstepforum regulars. I know forums and groups become like family, and I'm not trying to breeze in and out. Large up to everyone who dedicates their time to making music.
I just started making beats on Reason4 and I was wondering if I could get some feedback.
I understand I just started and shouldnt expect miracles. But Im still confused on what I should be using. I have been taking to a buddy out of Berkeley in Boston and he was telling me that I need to be working with a program that supports AUDIO. And that a good handful of dubstep producers use Live. He said that the weight of my sound will be bigger through paralell tracks. ANYWAYS!
i made a track, not finished, i need alot of help, and it still needs alot of work.

Hi ya'll,
first of all, id like to say a few things =p
Im new here, so Hellothere :] (any introduction forum anywhere? couldnt find one. (yes i'm probably being a dumbass... Sorry for breaking this rule :] )
Another few notes:
Im use renoise, and a few VSTi's (probably pretty obv. which ones >_> oh well.. ) also, i only use it for a lil month now, maybe 2, and just am at the basics of it, (another reason i came here, is to learn more about renoise lol)
Ive only been listening to Dubstep for maybe... a week and half now? and already am attempting on creating something (which obviously issnt very smart, cause i dont have a good idea on how this sort of music is constructed etc etc.) I also listen to DnB alot, but that aswell, only has been for the last month or so, So yeas.. this scene is pretty new to me, but the first time i heard it, i loved it..
(another reason i came :] learning more about Dubstep. )
Anyways, back to what this topic is for.. :'] the track i am working on At this very moment, Any thoughts?
CC is very welcomed.

a melodic piece
obviously not finished but i just wanted some feedback on what heads think of it so far.
Well, I guess you will be disappointed, but you know what I really love? The intro, before the melody comes. I don't dislike the melody and I think it has character, but not my cup of tea. I kept wishing the intro would come back.
maybe the intro will come back just for you
cheers man.
Now it's your chance, Province, my last one:

Sorry, this isn't really dubstep but if you're into the grittier more electro type of Dubstep you might like this.

Any feedback would be awesome!

Thanks man! I put a lot of work into making something whats unlike my other stuff

!
I like what you've started but I must say that it gets lost, pretty easily, the first 32 bars are nice and when the drums come back in but everything else doesn't really seem to fit? Good start though!

Thank you too man.
I would say with your tune instead of using those voicey wobbles and brutal electro to use a nice garagey wob or use the sound at 2:45 more, its a much more interesting sound and get more movement in the drums, this would give the tune A LOT more movement and drive. The snare is quite weak too, needs some snap in the 300-500hz range.
