Now, when it's too late, I realize I made a huge mistake. I also made a huge mistake by not going to the states with my parents. Ah, next year.

Everybody thinks that when it's close to the event though. Don't stress, you'll be over it soon.

This happened with my mates, one of them got a payrise at work, so suggested going to Mexico (fuck to the that ) which was £1900 just for the holiday. I said no, not whopping out my entire savings on a 2 week holiday when all you're gonna do is drink (which we can do in much closer locations, for a sixth of the cost). Felt gutted when they were about to go, turns out they had a shit time, and I'm glad I didn't set my self back about 2 years in savings on it.

Yeah basicly that's what they're going to do, drink all day and shit. That's fun, but I don't want to spend 700€ on that.
If it was a roadtrip (like our original plan, couldn't get a car), I'd be less bothered since you actually do something, but yeah.
Anyways, hardest part will probably mates complaining about how I should've been there whilst telling stories about impressive events that probably weren't so impressive anyways.

And wobbles bb I'm probably going to New York next year.

Ha had the same thing but with Ibiza and my friends.
Fortunately (or UN?) their music tastes didn't line up with mine quite so much so I didnt feel as horrendously bad as I thought I would . It also helped that when they came back they said about all the things they fucked up and how they all agreed that wouldn't have happened with me there

Just not much fun having to hear about it in the run up, especially if you decide you'd wish you had booked it anyway (like me)
