I just had the following conversation with our New York team about the new Antivirus I'm putting in:

Me: It's all configured the same as the old one.
Them: We need blahblahblahblahblah setting up before we can install it.
Me: Ok, do you already have that?
Them: No.
Me: So why do you need it? I assume your servers are working?
Them: We didn't configure the current AV to cope with it, we just turned it off on servers that were too important to be affected by AV.
Me: .................

I know America is the home of the Cowboy, but fuuuuuuuck. It's a good job the FSA didn't stumble across this when they AUDITED ALL OUR SHIT AND WE ALMOST ALL LOST OUR JOBS.

Was in a workshop Monday/Tuesday where are biggest supplier announced they were going to start selling 'advanced' support on some of their kit which involved placing tracking software on every router/switch they sell that will periodically feed back traffic information about the customers network and operations, so as to provide "proactive support and network optimisation management options".

I've literally never been this hungover/come down. I'm having cold sweats, stomach feels sick but i've thrown up everything so now its just this like dark yellow stomach acid coming up, i feel real panicked and nervous, shaking & can't sleep.

It sounds perverse but try and eat something light, dry toast is the best, if you can keep it down it'll help a shitload. The MD and drink has probably fucked with your stomach lining a bit hence the mega nausea but if you can get some food down it'll soak up the excess stomach acid. And drink peppermint or ginger tea, they both settle your stomach from nausea and will rehydrate you. The most important thing once you're able to keep fluids down is to re-hydrate big time. Give your boss the heads up you ain't gonna be in tomorrow too. Good luck man
