Its crazy what has happened since I last posted in this thread.

Releases on Mindstep (Who won best upcoming label on this years DSF awards), Orientis, Dank N Dirty Dubs and self-released an EP on the imprint "Flying Solo".

Done guest mixes for FatKidOnFire & Hedmuk.

My collectives radio show has nearly been going for 2 years now. We also got asked to "take over" and curate one of Knowledge Mags nights.

Got a signing for an album.

Played Getdarker again and have had about 2-3 bookings a month since January.

Things are actually looking up haha! I wonder whats going to happen when I finish the album and stop making Dubstep.

Why are you stopping? Are you moving on to a new genre?

People playing my tunes at afterhours, saying it was perfect comedown music and many nice things without even knowing I'd made it...
Comments and stuff is good, but when people tell you nice things in person it seems so much more real.
:w:

Bit of sick of the scene; the people who go to nights now and the general culture behind it.

I'll still be making music though. :h:

Bit of a bump JTM but I'll roll with it.

As for me, I have 2 tracks a few times played on radio recently - getting some good feedback via my local BBC station.

I shouldn't have read through 10 pages of this thread. Makes me feel worthless. Not worthless enough to make me stop producing though. Ha.
also: how do people's tunes get discovered by big names? How did, for example, banana bombers tune make it to rusko?

Contact artists via social media, personally I use twiter. If you're nice enough and don't post "OMG LOLS RUSKOOOOOO LISTEN TO THIS BEEEEEAT, BANGING BRAH" they might listen. Recently I seem to have been quite lucky getting some replies, not from big names like Rusko, but decent artists none the less and also some promo pages with 10,000+ followers.

Nice man. Noticed earlier an 8 minute track I uploaded as a basic WIP has like 500 plays nearly - I dunno who from lol. My next target is 10k total plays, just over 7k atm I think.

A harsh noise/power electronics musician asked me in July to make him a remix of his song. I made it and it was released officially on limited 66 CD's in this month. :D

I won the monthly genre contest on www.ourstage.com in the electronic music category in Feb 2010. My track took first place out of 536 other tunes. :)

Had a remix I did with a mate named Zane Lowe's hottest record in the world which was pretty mindblowing, got another of my own remixes onto a #1 EP too (Cher Lloyd if you must know!).

Also been featured on Deadmau5's homepage and played at a Mau5trap night at Ministry! YouTube is just shy of 7 and a half million hits too :)
