alright, so just now i signed up for a free trial of a virtual private server. it's a linux box and right now it only has access to 512 MB (lame, i know), but I'm rather fond of the host, so tomorrow I'll be buying more RAM, disk space, and bandwidth for at least a month or two. i just installed java and got a minecraft server running on it.

i wouldn't really put too much effort into it right now because i'm going to load up a different map tomorrow anyways and install some mods.

what do you say we make it the official DSF minecraft world and start building some cool shit?

ok lol deadly you were right...
it only works if you stand there for about 30 mins waiting for mobs to spawn, and its ugly as fuck.. just use the previous one..

oh yeah the beta is out on the 20th..
anyone who wants it buy it now because you wont get free updates during beta.. (you will get bugfixes though)

and all you have to do for multiplayer is copy the ip from phigures post, run minecraft, click multiplayer and paste it in

i think the servers down though, i tried it a minute ago

Oh ok...

I just made a shack . Finding it really hard to find coal to make fire-sticks (whatever they are called, total noob here).
Also, Its very fun

the start is the hardest part mate, once you play it for a few hours it starts becoming easier to gain resources
the good thing about minecraft is that you can build a massive base full of shit, then you get bored of it , so you start all over again..
