#tek_selecta
a bit long intro for my taste! but nice drums and hats... the melody is soothing :D everything is well mixed. I love the main drop!! really cool :) would be nice to hear some text to that song :D

I started this about 4-5 hours ago. Was working on a nice Trance tune just for kicks and added my new bassline that I made last week and now the tune went into the opposite direction haha.
It's a bit Dubstepish but mostly Electro and thinking about making a full Dubstep tune with this bassline, but anyways check it and comments/opinions would be highly appreciated <3

@ Loud Flavour - Loving the spacey intro!! I really love heavy electro shit and this sounds heavy man! By about 2.30 it needs some more interesting shit or something as it goes on a bit i think. If this was a dubstep tune i think you'd need a few different bass sounds :P just an idea :/

@ Jaspervc - not really loving the snare imo :/ loveing the kinda housey feel at times though is there some side chain compression there?

@ lukeraith - i don't know much about this kinda shit but sometimes it sounds like there might a bit too much reverb in there :/ the build up could do with some percussion like you said :P mess around with delays and shit on the percussion during the intro if it's gonna be a bit spacey :P

Track I been workin' on! I'm liking the first half  but the second half's a bit shit! Also how's the sub sounding?! I haven't got a sub around too try it on :(

Lord Flavor: Sick intro. I love how the bass threatens to drop for ages, but doesnt. Real atmosphere. I think your bass may be over compressed cus it seems to cut in a bit. BUT, its still amazing bar that!

Jaspervc: AMAZING DROP. like seriously. woah. THen that squelchy bass blows my mind, although too loud. I think your drums get lost Im afraid though. Love how you break it down later on too. Top track.

Sinisterbeats: This is one hell of a sinister beat. atmosphere or what! Amazing. That sub could be louder, but apart from that im in love with it. Really chilled and lovely.

Okay, so I've just knocked this up in the last half an hour or so. Excuse the production and things, it has a long way to go :)

Feedback is muchly appreciated and returned. Love the sense of community on the WIP thread!! :w:

@Sinisterbeats - love the groove..def some reverb on the snare.... imo, personally the wobble at the end could use alot of work it sounds generic id hate to see a unique beat have such simple wobble..again thats what i think.. hope to hear this complete soon!

I'll post feed back either later tonight or tomorrow morning, I always do.

Changed some stuff up and mixed it down a bit more. After bouncing it out I realized the bass drum and main chordal synth that is throughout, are both too loud. Do you agree?
Soundcloud
Also, does anyone have any suggestions for bringing out the emphasized frequency on the third beat of the clap loops around 1:30? I'm hearing this one frequency really stand out for once clap and I want to bring it out more but EQ aint really doing the trick.

@superginger - not really my thing. Drums dont really cut through the mix, think the snare could do with a few more mid freqs. I like the actual drum pattern though. The midrange wobble could do with some EQ. Vocals work well enough although I dont feel like they really add anything to the track. Hope I dont sound too negative cos its a good tune, think it would work well on the dancefloor.

@Debaser1 - Nice bouncy drum pattern, not feelin the synth that comes in bout 1.08. You probably just need to work on this a bit more and then post it again as its clearly a very new idea. Will take into account your feedback on the sub level, will readjust the mix a bit.

Im guessing you mean some more epic reverb on the snare, already has some room verb on it. Will try and work on that although I can never seem to get a decent sounding huge reverb on a snare, anyone got any tips? Im not sure about that wobble either, just got a bit stuck with filling out the second section and came up with that but will probably drastically change it/remove it.

edit. Ok made a few changes to tune I posted earlier, new version is in sig. Any more feedback would be great and will of course be returned. :W:

@United - Most definitely feeling this.. good vibe. A lot of nice atmospheric reverb and solid sub.

@superginger - as a hiphop head, I cant help but to like the biggy track....but... there is something off with the bass. Digging the synth around the 3 min mark. 2nd track in your sig is ill =)

@bass sedation - very nice track.. solid bass, good flow, heavy drums =)

My WIP..new with reason, any pointers would be appreciated :6:

Sirminus: Really well written track this is. That bass is HARD. ALl i'd recommend is removing some of that bass from the build up. The drop isnt fat enough. BAsically just cut some lows in the build. TOP track though.

Sinisterbeats: Feeling that sub a lot more now :D and there's some nice changes in your tune. Very close to being completely done I'd say :)

Right, added some more to my tune. Removed that awful bassline in the middle, added some textures and some more on the end. Nowhere near finished, but would love some feedback :D

@Superginger - Oh yea! B I G! The build is well executed, however I think the drop lets it down. The kick and snare are not present enough in the mix and that midrange instead dominates the mix way too hard. The sub is also not loud enough. This is otherwise awesome, love the vocals love the synth lines and melody but it needs mix-down work as the levels are just too wonky to be done just yet.

@UnitedFruits - Midrange bitcrushed guy seems not loud enough, and the sub is maybe a little bit too loud but you are very close. Kick and snare sound kind of wimpy to me, I would suggest layering your hits up to make them a little bigger. I like the dubbyness and all of the little extra hits and melodical things going on and you have some cool subtle variation. nice kinda chill/wobble track there it has a unique vibe!

@Sinisterbeats - noice intro, menacing and tribally! This has some great atmosphere but I would like to hear more progression or a new instrument or something as it kind of just plays over and over and over if ya get me. I don't think the midrange guy in the second drop really adds to this it seems out of place in such a dark subby track. I like what you have got though its a cool idea and well executed.

@Serminious - Oh yea there are some dope ideas here! Something seems wrong with adding that sub into the buildup to me. I like this kind of dub-step though. Pretty slick I think maybe soem of the levels on the mid-range noises need to be adjusted and that sustained high pitched guy has some really nasty frequencies that kind of hurt my ear. More sub I say too! Def let me know in a pm when this is done I might take a 320 :D

Here is my wip A little dabbling in the robo-drumstep side. feedback returned as long as you actually say something constructive not just "Good work." obvious flaws in this and all of the basses is gonna be way fatta!!!

*edit re-posted the whole song basically its good to be unemployed!!

@lordbid- ooh, something a little different, like the shuffling hats and sounds coming at me from different sides. Degenerates into the usual wobble but at least it's rhythmically interesting. It's really well produced, the little noises make it but yknow, don't you ever get fed up of woble?? :D

@debaser1- Nice sci-fi noises at the start, sounds like the start of the x-files or something. Haha the sample doesnt quite fit but it is pretty jokes. The rhythm afterwards is really nice, love the drums, let it breeath- get some pads in and have a bit of a break from the wobble. Also with the wobble you want to be cutting out a few more frequencies so it doesnt overload the whole thing

@sirminius-nice snare and tit's building well in the intro, pitch bend ting, drops into a nice high pitched noise once again. Well produced yuy's and that. Yeah nicely put together, more sub bass needed, as goes for all.

mines on a sliigghtly different tip to the ones i heard lol

you'll probs all think it's boring

@Chicken: Hey, cenobite, what a nice name for a tune :)

@hutyluty: I like the sounds man! It's got a nice little flow as well :). But yes it lacks some variation.
Maybe bring in a lead instrument? Mix and levels sound all right. You're on the right way mate!

@Lordbid: Liking the flow! Some dope sounds in there! Maybe a tad too many samples in the intro, but that's
pretty much all i can criticize. Solid production mate!

@ogunslinger: Not sure i can get into that mate. I like some of the bass sounds though. The little synth
isn't my cup of tea.

This is my wip, would love some feedback :)

@hutyluty - Naw never get sick of wobbles, its what got me into the genre, and I could care less. As far as your track I think this is the most well produced one that I have heard from you. All the vibe is there and the female vocals fit well with the pad and bass definitely. I want to hear more little changes in percussion and maybe some sweeps or a crash hit or something to help build some tension to keep this moving. As it stands yes it is a little boring in parts, I suggest you go listen to some more progressive house music or something and see what they do with taking parts in and out of their tracks to keep the listener interested. Great start though!

@Traffikz - Thanks for the kind words! Drums on your track are solid, snare really smacks. Solid mix-down and sounds are pretty slick! I think my problem is that your bassline at least right now doesn't fallow the drum pattern enough to really make this groove, right now it sounds like you jsut took a loop, which is probably true cus this is WIP and threw some random changing wobbles in a melody. Variation in the drum patterns and Try out adjusting things so they fit with the kick and snare hits better and I guarantee this will be a smacker!

@Cenobite Bass sounds and synth sounds, sound like they sound how theyre supposed to sound. ;) Production is pretty good too, bit still i think it feels a bit empty somehow?

@UnitedFruits Im sure you like your talking bitcrushed synths, but i think this tune wouldve have been so amazing without them. the tune is good, production alright, sounds are well selected.

Tune i'd like feedback on,
