we've had riots in the US where they just post pics online, offer $100 for an anonymous tip and arrested dozens in literally an hour or two on facebook.
yeah, quite a few are covering thir faces but a lot aren't, met chief has just said that they will be posting pictures up soon of people they are after. will be a lot of people getting knocks on their doors over the next few weeks.
the bad thing is kids don't realize their classmates recognize their outfits or their stature. Covering faces only goes so far. Not sure what the burden of proof is in the UK but in the US you can be convicted by clothing, height, etc. I'm sure these idiots have their cell phones on with sim cards in so they can easily place them at the scene of the crime.
I'm sure some are taking precautions but UK's CCTV is scary big. I'd be scared to take a piss on a street outside a bar because they could ID me by my monster cock.

people dont snitch here
and theres way way too many man on road for them to catch a significant amount of people
easy there Boadie. People who turn in looters aren't gonna get Snoop called on them and end up in boarded up row homes.
There are already mad people identifying looters on twitter so there goes your attempt at acting like a hardass on the internet.
