Originally filmed in March, a new tour documentary has surfaced today which gives an intimate view into a weekend in the life of juke pioneers DJ Spinn and the late DJ Rashad. Produced for Pitchfork TV, the 20-minute film tags along for a weekend in the Mexican city of Monterrey before Rashad and Spinn perform at the the city's DIY NRMAL festival. Interspersed with radio interviews and personal discussions between the two close friends and frequent collaborators, the documentary gives a rarely seen view into the infectious charisma and genuine love of music which drove DJ Rashad, a trendsetting producer and DJ whose untimely passing would follow a few weeks after this trip.
