Nahh, not a phobia thing, I have pretty popping calves/legs im just tired of boot cut/straight leg jeans and I wear a lot of high top shoes. Theres currently no real solution to keep your pants organized near the ankles for people like me apart from tucking them into your socks, which is fine if you're under 20 but you cant get into most clubs like that tho cuz its too "rap thug". This new cut not only allows for a better range of fabrics because its neatly anchored around the opening of your shoe (instead of flopping in the wind like a prancing unicorn while you walk because its not heavy denim) but also highlights both the tailoring around the quad/crotch better and also gives more emphasis on a fresh pair of shoes. All around fresh look and its accepted as dresscode for high end clubs even as long as you rock it with some type of nouveau-trap crewneck combo.

Wider elastics, tighter leg. Future-cotton (the really nice comfy one) or synthetic fiber with dye-sublimation motif/patern. Intricate sewing paterns and subtle embroidery/branding.

Seen, Im not a huge drop-crotch proponent. I find a full DC is a total Justin Bieber par tbf. I don't mind the car-seat cut which allows the crotch to sit slightly lower while remaining a bit higher on the hip, so you get that nice low-end without posturing yourself as a prison prostitute.
