the craziest thing about synecdoche is how badly it did in the box office... one of the very few films that deserved a big budget in my opinion

It's not an easy watch. Think $20 million could be around the average budget these
kinds of movies get. Interesting concept though, always thought the idea of rebuilding the
city for the set didn't come across as daunting as it should.

your not goslin. films looks and sounds pretty though.
unlike the turin horse which is bleak and gloomy but captures a more realsitic imagining of the human condition with its lulls in speech, as used in drive to nowhere near the same effect.
I don't think that was the point of the character. It was supposed to be the typical American hero, one that's righteous but violent and with a questionable past. Also a call back to the Man With No Name style of character.
point?
Goslin is a mans fantasy character. the lack of personality is for you to fill in the gaps fantasise yourself transposed on there.
whatever you said he is, quiet hero, is a reflection of what men want to see in themselves. he's shot so that even his flaws are admirable (violent, but to protect.) I can see why many men will covet the feelings they get from this as it is making them 'heroes' just not very obviously, therefore maybe unnoticedly which works well with the modesty of those that put him on a pedestal.
thought boner.
its okay if you got one.

Did anyone here enjoy Eraserhead? I don't think I got that one at all, put me to sleep the first three times I tried and by the time I made it to the end I just felt nothing. People who told me about it said it was really gripping and made them feel heavy, just went over my head though.

Eraserhead is quality man. There's really no way to explain why I liked it so much, but maybe that was also a reason why I got so into it.
also, the fact that you tried watching it 3 times even though you didnt get into it the first time around... i know you went to sleep, but even then its not always you rewatch something that you went to sleep to thrice. i'd say thats about as gripping as any movie can get
