Hey all, Canadian drum n bass veteran DJ/turntablist with a love for all things BASS, started producing a few years ago and only within the last year or so has it really made sense to me. After I had finally got some form of grasp on Logic Studio the first projects I worked on were dub step and I've been addicted to creating more ever since. I came here to share my music & ideas and I hope I can learn a thing or two from the dub step veterans on this site.

Looking forward to seeing you all in the forums soon.

Cheers !

Hi. I am very new to the dubstep community. I just started listening to dubstep about 3 months ago and I have been hooked ever since. The main reason I joined this forum is because I am very interested in producing. I have almost no clue how to begin that. I am looking for some help getting started on which equipment to buy. I have about $2300 to spend on this. I dont even have a laptop yet. I would appreciate any help anyone would like to give. Thanks

To start I would like to share one of my favorite new sites/new music video. It is the new video put out by Sub Focus and is definitely a banger. http://shrt.fm/zH9ECz

Are you sure you stay informed? Cos dub and dubstep are two different genres, and dub isn't an electronic genre...

Hello. I come here for philosophical discussion of electronic bass music. I just recently graduated from listening to the likes of Cheap Trick and rudimentary blues tracks. I hope to be welcomed and avoid persecution.

My Looplabs account can be found here: http://clubcreate.com/#!/spookgook. Looplabs is excellent software aimed at music production. Thank you.

Hi I'm Doc Bomz. I've been a musician all my life and I've only really got into listening to Dubstep in the past year.

I've played guitar almost all my life and music has been my biggest passion. In my time as a guitarist I have played with a vast number of musicians in various projects from country and folk to punk and metal.

My current roster of musicians I work on a regular basis includes 2 grade 8+ guitarist, a most talented singer, songwriter/rapper/producer/accordion play master mobius (who is one of my main songwriters to work with http://soundcloud.com/master-mobius/duk ... bass-rough), a drummer of immense skill who also works as a producer in the local music studio.

It's been about a year since I started using fruity loops to create music on my computer and I also have used adobe audition for recording and arrangements.

But now in 2012 I've finally learnt how to use Ableton and must say it is one of the most powerfully versatile tools I have at my disposal to create music, I've joined Dubstep forums in order to gain feedback on my work, to learn as much as I can about producing, mixing and mastering and also to promote myself as a self taught artist.

I'm hoping to gain vaulable knowledge and skills that will help me towards my goal of releasing my first mix tape in summer this year.

My websites are here my reverbnation is what I keep most up to date with music and demos

Alright Lads and Ladies, I'm Kane.
Been fiddling around on ableton making bassy music on and off since about July 2011 and lurking on here for the last couple of months. (really I'm supposed to be working on a dissertation, not playing with music but oh well)

I was putting the stuff I'd made on soundcloud under the name 'KayezDub' http://www.soundcloud.com/kayezdub. But I have since got bored of that alias and switched to 'Kambian' .

Got a couple of tracks in the works at the moment, but I'm trying to take my time as my previous tracks have been a little bit rushed and as much as I enjoyed making them I feel like they're completely pants. :u:

Looking forward to learning lots on here.

Hi everyone! :t:
I'm Guillermo and I'm from the South of Spain (Córdoba). I'm spending this year in Leeds as an Erasmus student. I haven't got too much imagination, so I call myself "Dub Stepah". I discovered Dubstep about 2 years ago in youtube and now I just listen to that genre. I've been reading this forum for long time but I finally registered (too late to be able to vote for the awards).

I don't Dj. I don't produce music. I just listen to music the whole day. This is a blog in Spanish about Dubstep I created a couple of months ago: http://dubstepah.blogspot.com/. In there I just post my favorite music and things I read in this forum. Dubstep is not really popular in Spain. It's becoming now a bit fashionable due to Skrillex and all this "bro" stuff. I would like to change that. No propper producers in Spain as far as I know.

Big up to all the Dubstep hipsters of this forum! (in the best sense). :h: :h:
