I said the exact same thing when i first heard the Burial album, takes a few listens- preferably in the dark.
Nothing beats sitting back with a beer or three and watching the thunderstorms roll in listening to Caves of Paradise (aka me last night)

also helps if you like techno too. Some review i read said it was like techno made by ghosts which is pretty apt. The guy does some really cool interviews too

Am just sampling some records and got some time to kill so thought I'd take part in the take a photo of your set up. My production set ups done a lot of changing recently including DAW and I've stripped it back and made it simple, there was some hardware but am delving into that side of things in the future. Images don't look to great as taken on a blackberry but you get the idea!
And for DJing, just technics and a mixer and my record collection. Here's set up for a day of sampling hense the other mixer (soundcard has trs inputs, xone 22 doesn't)
Future plans are sound treatment when I move out this flat shortly and building my own desk for production gear.

those monitors are sexy, how much do the shock mounts help preserve bass? or w/e they are called. the fellah who gave me the tr8s had 3 of em and i need 4, trying to figure out if its worth grabbing

All your setups look so much nicer. Mine is so disorganized and cramped into a restricted space. Eventually going to add a room to the house specifically for my audio setup, but until then...ugh.

Nice setup! What kind of speakers are those and whats the stands they're on? Would you recommend them to a beginner? They look nice.

they are hs80m's i think. very nice monitors, you wont be paying a clearance price though! make sure producing is really what you want to do before you splurge on those badboys, worth it though
