Incorrect, but it is the one where poor standards of performance are tolerated most. Go and see an rapper/group that has actually put some thought into their live act and they'll knock spots off most guitar bands (Jurassic 5 and Public Enemy are obvious examples.. Dälek at the indier side of things) - but too many acts jump on stage sounding like they've only just learnt their raps and didn't bother to show up to soundcheck.

ricky gervais is hit or miss for me, extras and the office were big, and he was a lol at the golden globes, but his standup and podcasts are a bit shit, and an idiot abroad is the worst thing ever, but that's mainly because i don't find karl pilkinton remotely funny

I agree with the live hip hop comment. Saw Big Boi at Primevera a couple years back and he was shit - basically doing karaoke over his own tunes, no stage presence, mugging like a tnuc to the crowd the whole time. Cee-Lo Green last year wasn't much better, again no live band setup, just him rhyming over electronics. Completely underwhelming.
