OK so im pretty sure the secret to all this growl shit is Phasers and Flangers everything else ive done to this is almost exactly what omegamode does to his except i added a phaser and flanger right before ohmicide, just play around with them and you will hear the sound totally change to give it the BA type sound, this was also made in massive however the massive patch isnt groely at all its all of the eqs. Also i like to add a highpass filter and map it to a second macro other than the vocal one that gives interesting sounds if you play with the frequency. But the main sound comes from eq automayshun. And dont forget ALWAYS EQ BEFORE DISTORTION.

I put the Ableton phaser on and maybe a little distortion with no phaser movement and it gets me close to the BA sound too

Sounds really nice dood.

The only thing I could think of is that there is one little high frequency I think I hear that seems loud, I don't know :s Could just be me or the reverb. When played in a whole arrangement of things / in a song you most likely wouldn't hear it at all so. But hot dang, I love it. Nicely done for sure man!

Edit: I feel like this is a little negative or mean, I didn't mean for it to me but it keeps bothering me that it might seem that way. This was meant to be constructive and not to be mean (If that makes sense)

Sorry if that looked / seemed wrong.

You're completely fine! No worries!
And thanks for the frequency warning!

Hy, nice sounds, I'm interested on that square-like growl/screech that sounds at the 00:3, right before the growls, may I ask how did you get that sound? I've been trying to recreate it...

This thread seems dead since Omega left... Come back... Please Omega... Come back... Don't do what hookjunior did - made growl, said goodbye, got famous...

I think it's because most of what can be said about making growls has been said :p

Seconded. I became bored with growls a long time ago, they're still cool to here scattered in tracks but I kinda hate tracks that have growl after growl in the drop now.
Still cool to mess with them sound design wise since you can end up with something completely different from what you started with.

SOOOOOO... Since no one has posted for a while I thought I would share a few new growls.
I will not give my presets away or give complete answers but I will help out as best as possible to achieve these VERY SIMPLE growls. One is made in Massive and the other is made in Fm8.
THESE CLIPS ARE IN PRIVATE.
FM8 NO IMAGES.
Soundcloud
MASSIVE Images for this growl only. NO WAVETABLES SHOWN.
Soundcloud
Filtering process.
EQ Modulation process;
Voices.
Via Gate and Glide.

Im liking how the new growls are sounding man

, really surprised how you got the same sort of sound out of massive and fm8. Did you use the same set up for both patches?

Similar Idea yes, but as far as the "filtering process" no. They are completely different in that sense, now that being said--you can still achieve similar sounds with Massive as you can with Fm8.
One
HUGE difference between the two are the amount of sounds possible with Fm8, over Massive.
My general Idea was to keep the thought of the clicky sound, and then style growl with fullness around it.
Seems to work well moving slow and taking your time with adding in wavetables and effects.
