'reignz.... i like that snippet dude.. i think itd sound good if you have another little drop where the snippet ends then bring it heavy and filthy.... i like the intro aswell.. keep at it

appreciate the positive feedback on my losingyou track! yea i agree the sidechain is a bit strong, i need to learn how to vary that.

Wow ... that's a really nice track you got there, like you said extremely chill out but really kept my attention all the way trough. Have you tried to put the synth that comes around 40 sec an octave higher ? Cause I think this melody could be more proeminent in my opinion !

Here's a really short bit of the track I'm working out, the main question here are you feeling this bass pattern because I'm a bit uncertain of it ? I'd also like a bit of feedback (if possible) on the general mixing of the track !

Hey dude, i'm really digging your sounds. Reminds me a bit of Minimalistix by Skream in a good way. Some one shots interspersed would inject some life into the slower spots for sure.

I think the wobbles are good, they need some tweaking to find the sweet spot, you likely need one of those hyped up doubletime sections and a catchy vocal line if you want it to be a banger, but that's just a matter of opinion

I started this earlier today, it's coming together really well. It's a Dubstep / DeathMetal crossover.
Does anyone know a way to automate the solo switch from a track in Live 8? Would make the next bit of work way easier for me.

i've recently been getting into dubstep production.
here's a track i've been playing around with - just to get the hang of it, but i have some questions

1) basic feedback please? what's wrong? what's (kinda) good?
2) how do i give the drop more 'oomph' if you know what i mean?
3) my drums sound kinda flat .. any tips how to beef them up?

i have the general feeling that something (or more things) are missing in this preview ...

Sounding really nice, but i think it needs some more percussion to fill it out a bit and give it a little more groove. Hope that helps

sounds good, arrange some more stuff, a drop, don't just drop shit in there , make the listener feel there's something upcoming, nice wip

Im relatively new to the dubstep genre. this is a new remix of solidarity by enter shikari that i did recently and pretty quickly. basically just messing about. kinda lost as to where to go with it though. any thoughts.

The drum samples are pretty thin, either layer them all, or compress them (don't squeeze it down too hard) , or distort them, those will all work to Fatten them up
Although i do like the big pre-drop snares (sound like they are right out of a certain new Nero track, haha )
Big reverbed kicks or Noise swishes down seem to help to Oomph up a drop for me most of the time.
Just keep spending time on it, the longer you work on it the better it will get.
Your bass sounds could use about 3% more evil too. Load up a Guitar Rig instance if you got it, find a good metal amp, drop the release and reverb down almost minimum. That's what i would do to your bassline at this point. Either guitar rig or just use a really nice Distort or Redux or Bitcrusher

the synth horns really don't do it for me, nor does the audio sample. You could make both of those way more interesting with pitchshifting, distortion, sidechaining compression or sidechaining filters. (Sidechain means clicking that little arrow beside the Auto Filter or Compressor or other title bars, and linking any instrument or sound you want to any other, for example, programming a bassline to 'get out of the way' of your kickdrum as the kickdrum kicks.)
high pass your hats, bring them lower in the mix. Just enough so that you can hear them at all, this is pretty vital in my opinion, big hats stick out like a sore thumb.
Use more than one bassline, sometimes i have up to 6 going each playing one little section, and never playing ontop of eachother. Cutups FTW!
