to what track is that feeback ment to?
because the last snippet has no strings?

and what do you mean with ' Massive-style performer' ?

The strings at 4:10...? in the coki tribute
Y'know, The performer feature in Massive? Makes a bouncy bassline, etc. Just my personal opinion though, 'cos I'm not into the harder style sounds..

@ geeza, nice one man. i've been feeling these synth-heavy playful style tunes lately. I'm thinking you should cut out the vocals and make the track your own, it's a pretty sick intro. What i'm hearing it could use is maybe some cheesy horn stabs on the skank beat if you're into that.

@ Kontrol, very weighty, with some more sculpting on your bass this would roll out proper on a system. Change up the bass hook a little bit after the drop, those two notes become pretty constant.

@ JemGrover, everyone gets in ruts it happens. as long as you care and you are striving to rise above you're on the right track. I wouldn't call this track generic either, bring up your bass sounds a wee bit and do a compress on your percs and drums to flatten a little bit if you haven't already. Sounds really nice man- don't sell yourself short!

OK i've done a bunch more work on CHEESE ON TOAST and i took the feedback i got from this forum and it helped big time
let me know if theres anything else i should change ... still thinking the first drop is lacking some oomph ...

Boring, sounding cool man , I like those bass sounds. Perhaps a little variations on the drums

Jay Zest, nice mellow vibes going on. Would like to hear finished track.

StreetXlite , nice epic synths going on..good balance between dark and melodic

Kontrol , GULLY.. dude that tune is cool.. maybe a little more sample work? Some likkle delays here and there?

Geeza, I agree drop the capella out of that one and make it your own tune. That's a cool lead..

My WIP is in my sig 8) Peace dudes!

@geeza:Yeah i feel ya on the feedback...i actually trashed the whole thing and have something WAY better already worked out. And on your track:Like it...of coarse like you said its a WIP so i already know you'll have that ish all cleaned up :D Can't wait to hear the finished version...kick me down a copy if you can.

@jayzest:very ambient, but needs just a little something else...maybe a light, but very LOW bass note here and there...very chill though...good smoking music.

@streetxlite:I agree on what you said about the drop, maybe drop the wobble you have going a little so it's closer to the one around 2mins or so...overall liking the track..cant wait to hear the finished version.

which one?

everyone have a small, dirty little taste at the next EVIL track:Trashed the previous samples and started fresh with the same drums, different synths, and made some of the old sounds more of "the Breadman" style...Hope you guys like the latest track...will be done by the weekend more than likely...hopefully :u:

streetxlite - thanks for the feedback yh the vocal sound **** anyway and i dont really wanna make it sound like a bootleg so away goes the vocal. every single synth in the orginal track is a preset in sytrus its madness!!
okay your track Cheese on Toast - sounding okay atm but your drop deffo needs work maybe a few sound fx in there and a drum roll?? im feeling the track as a whole needs something more maybe some automation on the pitch. actually for the drop id use your main bass for 2 bars modulation the pitch bend and lfo speed to gradullay rise to a peak throughout the 2 bars brings a sense of anticipation :) nice work so far though it is a good track just needs a little oomph as you say.

boring - drop needs work to build up a sense of argghh cant actually wait to skaniness if you get me. just sorta though o was that it. butit is a wip afterall not cussing youre track just drop needs something to liven it up. main part with the vox is great a proper dancers tune could imagine the rave going nuts to this!!! gets a bit repepitive but thats not a bad thing in this case it will keep people moving and head nodding if at home. all in all brilliant just imo the drop needs something to build up the suspense :)

jayzest - thanks for the feedback yh agree the general opinion of the track is vox need to go. cant listen to your track as its not availible but when it is i'll post feedback

step correct - thanks for the feedback!!! your trackis sick i need a 320 of the finshed product haaaa but seriously yh lead is good nice synth in there, the main part with the melody is brill if i didnt know you produced this i would of said what is this a benga track!!!! massive props and sounding propa crisp!!!

breadman - safe for the feedback yh when im done ill drop 320's to whoever wants them but i wont put it up for public download tryna keepa few things back for a mixtape i might do :)

@ Saharadubstep: your wobble needs more low and mid. I have the impression to listen to lo-fi music. Add a sub bass and eq your synth. Drum needs more punch and your snare sounds to flat.

@ Jayzest: I like your sound! I'd add more high in your snare. Really like the atmosphere in your tune but I miss a catchy hook. That wow-sound is cool, but I'd add more bass though. Drums and hats are crisp! Nice work.

@ -boring: don't know what to think about. I'll give it some time before I'm posting feedback.

@streetxlite: Your wobble is way to loud in comparison with other elements in your tune. I don't really like the sound of it. You need to work on your mixdown. Everything sounds a bit to flat, if you know what I mean. Snare and drums also need more eq'ing. Good luck! :)

@ Jemgrover: production-wise your tune is a-ok. Maybe your drum is a bit to upfront. Your snare is nice. Don't really like the sound of your synth, but that's personal taste I guess. Maybe you can add a pad or strings to make everything sound more full?

@ Kontrol: I'm not to found of the sound of your sytnh. There's not enough variation and it's to distorted. Add new elements and sound to keep the whole interesting. Drums and snare also need some eq'ing

@ I'm not really into the wah wah-sounds you're using. There are some cool elements though. The snare sound a bit to flat. Your tune needs more sub, it's all mids and highs now. Try to bring more variation in your drums and synth. I'm also missing a lead or a catchy hook.

New tune I made. I'm quite happy about it. Let me know what you think about it! Thanks!

@budsteq:Like the track. The highs were a little ear piercing on my speakers though. But good start.

sorta instrumental grime/dubstep hybrid experiment type thing.. been havin a lot of fun freestylin to it.. let me know what you guys think, eh? don't be afraid to get brutally honest!

@ breadman - that dog's day afternoon track is sounding really odd.. dig the weirdness, but it doesn't really flow much at all.. maybe work with 16 and 8 bars to give it some more structure?? also it needs a steadier beat for sure.

@ jayzest - where's the bass?!!? haha just kidding! i know ya got a different vibe goin on this one.. diggin it quite a bit, spaced out, although i'd choose different drum samps when you do the final mixdown prolly.. where you takin it from here?

@ streetxlite - hmm.. tbh i dont think the bassline sound is any good, man, too distorted for sure. i'd start again from scratch with it. also, you just got too much goin on in your mix at several points. dig the little dream house breakdown though, sounds good!!

@ kontrol - i want to toast over this one!!!! got that droppy slow vibe.. keeps em guessin!!!

@ geeza - i love the original of this song a lot.. when it drops, i would like, cut the sample up or somethin so that its different from the build-up. also needs a bigger BASSLINEEEE.. wouldnt have thot to remix that track though, interestin... keep it goin..

@ JemGrover - chill on makin music for a bit, listen to stuff that isn't dubstep, hit the gym and take some personal time. let your brain rest and get focused on relaxing and shit in the real world for a minute.. that always puts my head right back in the game! btw isnt resampling fun as shit? sounds good for a practice run!

Ok, this my second attempt at a dubstep(ish?) track. I pretty new to it but have been doing various types of dance/breakbeat/dnb/etc off and on for years. I'm pretty sure it'll get filed under 'talentless brostep' (or worse) but I'm prepared for that :D I learned a lot while making it and I'm reasonably pleased with it. It hasn't been mastered as such and there's a chunk missing at the end (I'll reupload & edit the link when I get time).

Any opinions/comments gratefully recieved (even if it's "Delete your DAW and never produce again") :t:

Cheers.
