Tactical lights just make you stick out like a sore thumb when your trying to hide, makes you an easy target tbh
thats why you turn them off when you dont wanna be seen!

for people who didnt know.

Yeah I just rebound the 3 thumb buttons on my mouse to flashlight/laser, grenade and knife, makes it a whole lot more intuitive. I don't understand why they wouldn't let us bind mouse buttons, but then again its only one of the many baffling decisions made in regards to the interface, controls, communications, server system and squads. Gameplay's still sound though, so hopefully it'll be mostly sorted come release day

Incase nobody clocked it, Caspian's currently unlocked for 64 man play. Vehicles included.

I do admin for a GSP and we were one of a handful (in the UK at least) who are allowed to continue to play the beta to stress test multi-thread servers. It's not as exciting as it sounds. In theory a single thread can run a 16 man server so most quad core servers should be able to run a 64 server - providing you have at least a 30% overhead for other processes such as rcon.

I don't get paid or anything for it. It has its perks tho :)

In reality I'll be looking at graphs like this and stroking my chin.

How's that bs? The game only runs on DirectX 10.1 or 11, that's like complaining your Playstation 2 can't run Playstation 3 games. Technology has to move forward dude, BF3 wouldn't look as good if DirectX 9 was holding it back

Yeah, but we have to move on at some point, so why not now?

Did you kick up the same fuss when DX8 fell out of use?

Played the beta on my brothers xbox, very impressed. The graphics do lack considerably when compared to PC but still the gameplay is ace. Might need to invest in an xbox now

The difference isn't in the pictures, you can only see it when you actually play the game. Its in the effects, particles, post-processing, reflections etc, as well as the processing you can't see

The graphics are extremely dumbed down in the beta btw. Wait for full game, they'll take full advantage of the xbox's power.
