This is just me getting into some speculation but this one it will be there fo sho... Friends, Lovers & Family 'The Lift', believe it or not!
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

I'm sorry but this is a monumental cock up I assume on the part of K7 or someone promoting? To announce you have a compilation and leak it to record shops who mark it as forthcoming only to have the compiler denounce its even been tracklisted and I'm guessing cleared?

Unless he's goin for the anti-marketing dollar, that a good dollar! He's very clever to do that! Or maybe its the hype dollar, we've done research that's a gooood market!

groan

its not a grand conspiracy against you all. . .again

simply the compilation is not finished yet

record labels always pre-empt releases to promote them. sometimes things slow stuff down. . shit happens

suprise surprise, the compilation will come out when its finished
so you might want to not waste your time and tidy away your Burial speculation . . .again. . .

now jog on

Speculation makes part of the international market my friend, here... every now and then, sometimes its what it turns into something even more appreciated, spec. on!

Yeah, great tunes. Wonder if they'll be released someday.

as far as I know, Burial DJ Kicks was simply announced by !K7... it was the shops' own prerogative to put it up for presale (and cash in), even tho there was no release date. I don't hold my breath when I see something for preorder on Boomkat - sometimes the actual release date is months later than when they indicate. I'd recommend this for legit release info.

it seems that it's fashionable to use Burial as a scapegoat for just about everything these days... folks will go to great lengths to turn something very simple into a complex conspiracy, rather than admitting that they're just impatient. hold tight you lot, it'll be here before you know it.

Stairwell is (or was) slated for release on a hyperdub 12" b/w a beat i haven't heard called Feral Witch Child.

Stairwell is so sick tho!
its halfstep done WELL. With double-time energy jungle drums. and seriously terrifying vocal stabs.
and that's good dubstep in my book.

____oh right, you weren't actually asking if it would be released...

Well I can tell you now I ain't fussed when it comes out and I aint no conspiracy nut. I know how long things take to get sorted hence I announce nothing till I have dates - Boomkat are just making these "simple things" worse by posting unrealistic shipping dates. The Bill Hicks reference was for comedy effect

It doesn't help that when it comes to Burial, releases are spoken about by hyperdub or the man himself that either take an age to appear or don't at all. Alot of the speculation mongering is of your own doing.
