I have a working hypothesis that Dub is one of the true musical viruses of the 20th Century. You can guarantee that it will rear its head again somewhere.

well i for one am going 100% back to the roots (cringe at the expression tho!).

Big desk, lots of cheap effects, mutes etc. WIN!

im sure the post-skrillex backlash against filth will have something to do with it. already noticed how many new producers are asking how to be "deep" or "dungeon" as opposed to before when every new producer wanted to sound like borgore.

im sure the dub influences will start creeping back in when that takes full effect.

speaking of money leaving, the down side to hardware; i just spent £170 on cables :corncry: :corncry: :corncry:

But did pick up a grotty old analogue echo for £33. :corndance: :corndance: :corndance:

Ive spent the last two weeks stripping the studio, painting, decorating and putting up shelves. Cleaned up the mixer, and did a mod to allow all fx sends to be post fader. now the monster wiring job must begin. Photos soon.....

Im soo buzzing off it tho.

Now to decide between an MS10, a minibrute or a couple of nice effects units with my remaining UAD loot.

Cheers

Nice glad it's all coming together for you, I can see myself making this jump gradually over the years. Definetely would go with the ms10, then maybe some cheaper effects as money rolls in :)

Thats kind of my view, but id also love a really nice space echo/analogue delay. not expecting miracles from my £33 jobber, although you never know!

The minibrute ill prob grab when it starts appearing 2nd hand on ebay.
