Hey guys, after listening for a while I realised that i prefer this version more than the tripplet timing one.

would love to get a review on this.

laters
plus:
+very nice work on the intro, sounds so beautiful, then the hint of the minor key comes in, giving you a taste of the dub to come, brilliant!
+nasty nasty sample into the drop.. always a win in my book
+that pitch altered verse sample is gold, the stutter effect is amazing with that bassline, gives people that "i'm losing my fecking mind" feeling
+speaking of the bassline, that synth is one of the tastiest ones i've heard in awhile, dirty but oh so groovy
+reverb siren build = epic win

advice:
-the super long fade from 2:30-3:04 is a little awkward, not sure what would happen with that during a live set, i was pretty much just tapping my foot waiting for that sick bass to come back
-that siren build is so yum, it could use more definition with more abrupt drops, like taking those epic vox away or effecting them differently during the chill parts, it will make people (with similar tastes to me, anyway) excited when it comes back
-i think the drop back in at 3:04 needs a little something more to make it different from the rest of the song, either rougher ambience or a slower brutal bassline, or a different bass synth.. or all three if you're feeling brave! or none of the above if you want a reprise of the first drop
-either way, the main drop riff could be a little shorter or could use alternating bass automation (LFO rate) to keep everyones ears while you build the second drop, with that fade it seems to drag a bit

Overall:
=brilliant work man, very pro sounding, definitely something i would want to bump around the club to, i can already see the females going nuts for this one, strobes and lazers frying into my eyeballs...fog so thick, everyone jumping and rubbing against each other, pouring sweat and eyes rolling back into their heads, arms flailing, minds united with the music......

..
i digress. anyway. good stuff man. add me on the myspace if ya gotz one, i'd love to stay in touch

Johnny Quest - "Hold Your Breath"

plus:
+nice reverb work, tastefully added
+i can tell you've spent some time mixing those samples, they get the effect across oh so nicely
+that dry synth at the drop is so massive, i had to pull my jaw up off the floor :h:
+automation is well done! the quick up after the long drags would make this so much fun to dance to
+gave me a 'submarine' feel... i know thats a weird description but its a good thing, and when i remembered the song is called 'Hold Your Breath' i was impressed.. it has the vibe of a true tune

advice:
-early breaks are a little.. interesting.. is that a wind up toy? alien breathing? oil spilling? i'm not saying you should change it, i'm just really curious haha, might want to make it a little more specific, whatever it is :D
-the long drum break with occasional synth (2:45-3:40) could be a little shorter, not much going on there and it's almost a full minute of the song
-i understand why the automation stays pretty constant throughout, but i was waiting for a change, which would really catch the crowd off guard, maybe the long drag with a triplet at the end? (might not make sense, the only way i can describe it is right now its a 'oom-waah, oom-waah', with the triplet at the end it would be like 'oom-wah-wah-wah' [in sync of course])

overall:
=you made it pretty tough to give advice, which is a good sign! really it's quite good as it is, you could do nothing to it and it would be a stand up track, had me bouncing the entire time, super stuff!

plus:
+gonna go ahead and say, i'm diggin the DJ name, would be awesome to be on the same bill as that haha (haven't even listened to the song yet )
+neato beat, sounds like machines firing up for destruction
+trumpet pad thing sets the mood nicely
+very nice note progression! in the eighth measure of the drop where you automate faster with the rising/dropping notes (back to the root) i literally exclaimed 'yes!' out loud haha
+lots lots lots going on, even the break, well constructed
+variation into the second drop (2:11) and from then on is good, good stuff
+robot gargles during the break (@2:46) are delicious to my ears

advice:
-i love my music loud, and the beat is super strong, but the snare was a little hot, kinda banged my head around a bit at first, but sounds great in the main mix... maybe bring the level down a tad before the beat drops?
-i'm a fan of automation, but careful it doesnt get too messy and take away from the flow (1:32-1:35, 1:46-1:48 everywhere else they work just fine)
-seems to fade on a strange note, usually people look for some resolution back to the root note.. not crucial but helps wrap it up in the mind

overall:
=again, another tricky track to give advice on, you've definitely put the right amount of work into this one, on par for becoming a fun track to make people groove

*just saw the second track mentioned... will update later with the review on that one, much love

Mate first off thank you for take'n the time to listen and post some decent feedback :-D much appreciated. was wondering when someone was gunna question what the sounds in my breakers were ha ha, the first one is actually a cricket running across the floor, and the second one is a slug, time stretched to give it that slower eery sound. what i've highlighted in bold in your comment, i've take'n into consideration and i'm gunna have a play around and see what i come up with and if i like it. Pretty much just didnt want ppl to get sick of the main riff too quickly so opted for a bit of an elongated breakdown with heavy bass before the half way point. shall let ya know of the progress!!

Thanks again

Anyway I havent yet set up a myspace but I should have a few more tunes to post soon and I'll try and set up a myspace soon. Give me an add on soundcloud if you have it though man.

Stay well

I like this. Original Dubstep sound.

+Good melody
+Good Pads
+Good Delays
+Plenty of space

-Snare is a bit weak, a heavy smack-you-in-the-face snare would stand out here, given all the room.

slow come up, it was a good grooved out and mellow tune. The sounds blend really well together. Kind of went on awhile without too much change, but that's more a testament to it being 5+ mins than not having many elements, as I liked what you have, like the pitchshifted vocals.

1.Ketamine : Say my name : great intro, but i feel you may need a breakdown and also a little bit more variations but the sound is solid..

2.Ben Green : Chillstep : Track is good but i feel there is not much compression..the sound is kinda weak on my end so maybe work on the compression..

3.Dj Accel : track Bussiness : is awesome..great delays, sound is solid really enjoy that one.
: track Fallen : that tune is crazy and heavy it sounds solid.
