this woman comes to talk to me like twice a day. she just stands ther and goes "how are things". i say "yeah alright, you?"...she say's she's ok then just stands there waiting for me to talk again - forcing us into the most awkward small talk you've ever heard. She only goes when my phone rings.

if she was cute and interesting I'd make an effort...but she is neither. This has been going on for a couple of weeks and it's really annoying me now.

Keep an open Excel window on your desktop at all times, then Alt+Tab to it whenever you see her. After the initial pleasantries, apologise and say you're working on something that is quite urgent.

If you don't use Excel, substitute for another program.

It's not so much the getting rid of her that's the issue - as such - it's that she's gonna continue coming back!

Keep a stop watch on your desk and everytime she comes over make a point holding your hand up to her face, leaning over, starting said stopwatch, then lowering hand and saying "Please continue..."

Should only take a few times before she gets the message.

dj shadow is pretty hit and miss imo. my friends saw him at coachella and said it was incredible...i saw him a couple months before that and he just wasn't that good. i think he's just lost touch with the club crowd (a few other people in other cities have been sayin this too), but if its a big festival you'll probably be impressed!

all that being said, it was his first time coming to our city, and it seemed like he was really drunk, so that may have been what made him shitty in my circumstance.
