Horribly blurry phone shot of my setup

KRK RP5s, Focusrite Saffire Scarlett, MacBook pro 15", pair of CDJ-200s, Denon DJM-100, Stanton turntable, assorted vinyl

Are my monitors way too close to my head or the wall? I know fuck all about speaker placement

i kind of miss them sometimes.. hope you're treating them well!

I'd protect these boys with my life :) don't worry, they're getting a lot of love

lol i remember thinking like that a few years ago when i browsed this thread, but if you care enough you can build a setup that might surprise yourself a few years down the line. if you're willing to commit to it, stay up on things like freecycle and ebay and be willing to sell shit so you can buy gear then it can definitely be yours.

i couldn't imagine having the setup i've got now 3/4 years ago when it was just a computer with a mouse and some £25 speakers.

so is room with wooden walls better from a treatment or 'sound' standpoint than say a sheetrock room? Both are more or less 10x10x8 foot boxes. New setup is in wooden room, old setup was in sheet rocked room.

I used the same and they were computer speakers. The right one was broken so I had to use the left one only. I then got headphones and now I have some monitors and a mixer
