linework for traditional japanese sleeve begun (bit of the marker outline still visible will take cleaner pic tomorrow). Hopefully only 9-10 hours of shading/coloring left shooting for 3 sessions due to below the elbow swelling easier. Wasn't nearly as bad as back though the elbow was fairly shitty.

I cant see it, just a red X but mine (guy with the half sleeve) is traditional. Goes up to my shoulder as I didnt want it past my elbow.
I found right up to the arm pit brutal, where as the both the guys with full sleeves say the stomach/chest hurt the most.

Also lol at skuntech or whatever being a prick, you are a straight up mutant with thining blue hair

mine starts at wrist and goes up to mid bicep. Have another piece I have to figure out how to blend into. Just don't want it to seem like it's completely elevated above the rest of the sleeve so going to tackle with care. Armpit area seems like it will be gnarly

Will probably do collarbone area next

@esfandyar so how long total start to finish? 5-6 hours? what are prices like in your area? Looks dope

it was about 10 hrs total. the tattoo artist's name is isaac fainkujen. he is, imo one of the best tattoo artists here in arizona, but it was expensive at 150 bucks an hour, not including tip. usually went about 2 1/2 hrs a session. he is going to do my whole torso, front and back eventually. keeping it traditional and not doing limbs, at least not yet.

yeah im paying about $125 an hour. probably get it all for a grand regardless if it goes over 9-10 hours as I'm doing some social media shit for them. That's about the going price right now 1-150

no it's a good observation, me and my tattoo artist discussed the position of the foot, but we wanted it to look as if is was in mid strike. since they have prehensive feet the talons can adjust to have quite the spread out form. looks like it is zygodactyl though.
