I know its a maybe but if anyone likes it enough and wants a copy i can upload for you ;D

for some reason the soundcloud isnt working :S
pluses:
+very very nice for a first effort, i wish my first tune sounded anywhere close to this
+dreamy feel, could be super if mixed in at the right time at the club
+beat is spot on, crispness wise, and you have the snare on the third beat, which is always good (pretty much crucial :P )

advice:
-beat doesnt really fit the ambience
-the piano is quite rough, feels disjointed, a little weird with a dubstep rhythm under it
-what program do you use? i might be able to give you some advice on fattening up that bass, as it is its not gonna rattle chests
-needs a little more build/break, feels like a long interlude
-could use more variation once you have a prominent bassline

overall:
=super first effort, with some tweaking, a better bass and some variation, could be a nice dream track for those resting moments at the club

much love :w:

STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS! LET ME KNOW WHATS UP!!!
Homage(icebagg) - "Turtle Murder"

pluses:
+staggered ambience in the beginning is quite nice, high ends creeping in is a great idea
+oscillating the ambience? whaaaat? i think i might use that, myself
+oo, groan-y bass in the first drop (0:55) made my ears perk up
+staggery effects add some much loved variation
+fast then slow bass drum into the break... classic
+main drop bass is totally unique.. must admit i haven't heard that one before! like the duck/groan combined!!
+splendid automation tied in with great flow (breaks/builds) makes for an awesome tune
+that high hat line (4:09)!!!!! so fresh and entertaining
+(4:37) bass only break... very well done, was waiting for it!!!
+i cringed when i saw the length of your track, but it didn't feel that long! very good sign, but i would have trouble mixing it, there's so many good parts to choose from

advice:
-first drop is nice, but i'd save the heavy hats for the biggun drop (1:50)
-hats get a little rough coming out of the first drop, before they get mixed down (1:23)
-a different sounding synth responding to the main synth would flip most people's brains
-that said, i'd love to hear what other synths you have cookin'

overall:
=i loved this! super refreshing, i can tell you put a bit of work into nuances and programming, so biggup for that. you have your own sound, which is crucial in this genre these days. you kept the variation and automation fresh, and i can tell you put a lot of work into this song, which i personally love since there are so many "three hour" tunes out there. keep on, you've got the right stuff!!!

much love :w:

hey all...

still working on your review, i promise, i've got a new structure and i'm pumping them out as fast as i can..

just a reminder, the quickest way to jump to the top of my list is to head to my myspace (link in sig) and comment on any of my tunes (either in a PM or her in the finished tracks section, or better yet add me on myspace and comment there referencing here), and i'll get your review done probably by the time you refresh this page

much love to you all, you guys are so good to me, working hard to do the same for you

oh, and if you're in the mood for something fresh, check out my new friend rabbit's page, at http://www.myspace.com/rabbitbeats69
some serious new grooves! most especially the track 'checkmate'... some great underground stuff

peace peace, keep the PMs comin, love to hear all your stuffz, my brain is overloaded with all different tunes and i couldnt be any happier!!!

very very much appreciated!! Thank you for taking the time to break that down, Its good to know people are listening. if you want the polished up mp3 i could shoot you a link. if i were to mix it i would probably drop it where that bass only break is, that last bit of the song is my favorite! more to come!

my remix of swagga
LDFD - "Datsik/Excision Swagga Remix"

plus:
+clip clop feel adds a nice bop to the track, giving it, dare i say.. swagga
+bass drops are nice and fat, really come out with the big subs
+smooth flow, would love to bump something like this on a long road trip with a nice system
+ending took me by surprise for sure

advice:
-hmm, are you sure this is a remix of the Datsik/Excision track and not the Jay-Z track "All I Need"? definitely sounds far more like the latter to me
-plasma blast lead needs to be altered/switched up somewhere in the track.. gets irritating fairly quickly, especially through quality tweeters..
-vocal work is clever and varied, but can also get to be a little much by the end of the track.. maybe put in some of the verse from 'all i need' in there?
-stronger bassline needed, theres almost no notes, just drops... a fat under melody would destroy some heads
-drags quite a bit, needs a surprise or two in there

overall:
=hmm. well it's a great idea to remix a classic song like 'all i need', but giving it a title with datsik and excision in it makes people expect a lot more, if anything they're waiting for something more brutal than their work, which is pretty timeless..
hit the studio and work on a fat, unique bassline and mix some of jay's smooth rhymes in there and you'll have some club butter that will make everybody glide

Dedman - "Runna"

pluses:
+strong intro! the blast at the beginning and the oriental ambience is super dreamy
+eee! grindy filthy drop, definitely made me throw my head around in circles
+fantastic surprises! you took a nice, strong, dirty bassline and mixed it up in all the right spots
+sample work is epic! "they're on the ceiling!" hahaha so good
+strings and reverb voice are very, very well placed. adds a whole new dimension to the song
+reprise of the intro ties the song together like a pro
+that said, the whole song sounds pro
+EQing of the drum track during the break! im impressed, you put the right amount of time into this one!
+upswing of bassline (most recent one i heard was at 4:22) is enough to make most zonkers lose their marbles all over the dance floor
+was that a hint of rasta horns near the end? :o

advice:
-ooo goodness, you're making it tough to give advice! it's already a stand up track
-variation is so intense, sounds great as it is, maybe a bass only drop? its about the only trick i didnt hear haha
-a response synth, maybe during the faster wubs would be scary, but really this one's about done
-make many, many more tunes, you've definitely brought your A game with this one

overall:
=Definitely impressed. if this was the first dubstep i'd ever heard i would have fell in love with the genre the same way Rusko and Chase and Status did it for me. so thats a very good sign. so i'd just get feedback from a few others (it has everything i look for, kinda hard to give advice when all i can do is dance around haha) and maybe spend one more hour on it and its ready to be banged!!!

much love :w:

Much appreciated
Pitchdownplease - "Gaire-Coldsnap"

pluses:
+crispy hats!!! definitely gives the dancers something to latch and bob to
+string ambience is nicely done, hits the right spots
+drop is nice and THICK, i was almost afraid to hear a duck wub, which would probably kill the dark ambience set up by the strings
+(1:40) bringing the blippy lead in with the drop is so nice, gives some much needed variation for the second big drop
+like how you stayed true to your name and pitched down the snare... haha surprising, unique, and effective... i wondered how low it was gonna go, then it bounces right back up!
+beat variation is well done, i know it takes time when you could just copy and paste the original drop beat
+3:43 is a great length for a track, in my opinion

advice:
-a more intense bass, or maybe with some automation swells would really bring out the second drop
-maybe an octave jump here and there in the blip to take away the repetition? still good but all leads are never finished, if you know what i mean

overall:
=sounds about done! could be worked a little more but is a fantastic grime/electro mix, which is super fresh. dark but still groovin, i love it! sub bass feels like it could shatter my neighbors windows if i cranked the sub, which is also nice. well done, i definitely snagged the 320, thank you for making it readily available!

much love :w:

Thank you!!! you guys are totally worth it.

DEMZ - "Insomnia"

pluses:
+pads with delay in the beginning make for a nice intro
+beat comes in at a great point, giving it a unique flow right from the get
+tweaking that bell sounding lead gives it a super dreamy feel
+nice 'overthere' snare with delay
+(3:12) splendid panning/break
+using the beat repeater on the delay into the last drop is super sweet

advice:
-intro is well worked but could be a little shorter to reduce drag, unless you're trying to trance people out before the drop (which is effective too.. personally at the club im ready to start jumping around tho)
-first drop needs a little more definition, feels like it's still building
-needs a little more variation between the drops so it's not more of the same.. would make people go 'woah'
-bass needs a little more definition, feels all physical and non harmonic
-would love to hear the occasional double-timing of that bell lead, kinda like what the delay achieves but a little stronger

overall:
=mm, you have a yummy little dream track on your hands, so far... with a stronger bass and a few surprises i could spend all night swaying with the crowd to this one

much love :w:

**will post more reviews of your work once i have the time/energy, trying to spread myself out while i still have some steam..**

Idlemode - "Telemachus"

pluses:
+oscillating ambience?? did you do that just for me or something?? haha  well done
+vocal sample is gold, super sweet and surprising, fits oh so nicely
+dreamz dreamz dreamz when the twitchy little bass comes in
+drop is nice and sticky, would get me bobbing for sure
+oo the bass starts to growl when it drops on that run down, then the dong sweeps it back up... massive!

advice:
-beat is a little staggered and glitchy, gives it a weird flow.. interesting, but not my taste... but im not hugely impressed with Burial, so i must be insane, right?
-variation seems to come a little late in the track, i was waiting for something like the bass rundown (3:42) to happen a little earlier, then something a little more complex towards the end

overall:
=has a nice Burial vibe to it, but a little more sweet and listenable, to me anyway. this is dream hop at its finest, in my opinion, and would probably tear me up (like tearing up in my eyes, not like tearing shredding), if i were zonked in a good crowd grooving to this song. biggup, its just about finished!

much love :w:
