For a couple of months now I've been putting some serious thought in to dropping out of uni. I've lost all interest and it just feels like a massive waste of my time and energy. I haven't learnt a thing that I haven't already from the books I've been buying from Amazon. Compared to those books, which tend to be around £7 each, I don't feel the university course costing me £9,000 is offering me much at all beyond the constant erosion of the initial interest I had in the subject I'm studying. Over the past year I've learnt so much about a variety of things in physics, philosophy, cosmology, biology and psychology just through personal reading. On my university course, however, I've mostly just been fed a stripped down form of the information I've acquired while doing a-levels and reading. I don't see myself as particularly smart but I'm fascinated by science and nature. I feel that if it weren't for the books I've been reading, university would have destroyed that already.


Besides, other psychology students tend to grate on my fucking nerves lol.
