Yet you see all this hype from them on social media, all capitals and shit, going i-nuts about tunes, putting effort into promoting stuff. It doesnt make sense, why bother?

My theory is that some of those blogs have just become an excercise in verbal masturbation - it seems to like some of the "reviews" are just a bunch of really pretty words strung together that make absolutely no sense - or a best could describe literally 90% of the tunes they try to push.murky21 wrote:saw someone that runs a prominent blog out at a night not long ago, and they were stood to the side/ on the stage all night, stoney-faced, not a single movement, looked like they were at a funeral.

Example (just picked a random paragraph from one blog):
The title track ‘[Track name]’ from [Producer] launches from the edge with warm, permeating synth work. A natural mysticism comes into play from the soft chords and birdcalls worked into the atmosphere. Crisp percussion and deep bass kicks mould into the rhythm of the track. All of the elements build fluently with progression before a deep, jazzy vocal signifying the title of the track. All in all ‘[Track name]’ works in many situations.
I challenge anyone to tell me the name of that tune without resorting to google.

I can't be sure but if I had to guess I would probably say Biodigital Jazz by Prism & Valor.Reese Liar wrote:My theory is that some of those blogs have just become an excercise in verbal masturbation - it seems to like some of the "reviews" are just a bunch of really pretty words strung together that make absolutely no sense - or a best could describe literally 90% of the tunes they try to push.murky21 wrote:saw someone that runs a prominent blog out at a night not long ago, and they were stood to the side/ on the stage all night, stoney-faced, not a single movement, looked like they were at a funeral.
