A portmanteau of complex and electro.

Basically Mr Robinson is telling us he's a douche.

Has there really been a lot of uproar though? No one's gonna argue that looking at the scene as a whole (yes, including brostep) those aren't 30 of the most important dubstep tunes of all time. Some of them certainly aren't the greatest in terms of quality, but they all had an impact in one way or another.

Your list is full of great tunes but it isn't nearly as well-rounded as the Spin one. It's also not really a replacement or appropriate response to it because it serves a different purpose. That said, if I was introducing a friend to dubstep showing them your list would be a great way to start them off so nice work in that respect :Q:

Yeah, I guess my intent with it was to just give a different perspective. I think it's actually impossible to boil down the scene into 30 tunes. The SPIN article is a bit more well-rounded, I suppose, because it includes tunes that I don't care for and this list was subjective.

And I'm a shit writer, so I don't think 'uproar' was the appropriate word. Perhaps 'discussion'? Either way, thanks to those who looked at my post.

It all depends on what you think of brostep really. I see it as something different from dubstep, kinda like how I don't consider crossbreed a part of dnb.

What is crossbreed?

And yeah, I view brostep as a different entity.

Forget Skrillex, this is the new shit in the world of the American, and soon the British I'm guessing, Youth.

I haven't even pressed play. ;-)
