Unemployed4life, welfare+ multiple kids, disability for their "bad back", fifth grade grammar skills, thinks that they're better than everyone else, etc. The welfare system is incredibly fucked, as it has become a way for the scum of the country to get a free ticket. I know people that are on welfare for honest reasons (a friend of mine collects it because he broke his leg and is trying to work his way through college), and I know people that "cheat the system" for extra cash, usually towards malicious purposes.

If they honestly just checked into who's getting benefits like they're supposed too this would be unnecessary. Also, piss tests just because if you're too poor to buy food you're too poor to party (prioritize).
I don't hate the poor, I hate people that don't help themselves. I'm not rich, I work at a greenhouse and live with my parents. I'm only 17 though. Still though, I support myself (besides utilities). I pay for everything I buy and do, and I feel that more parents should do this. It makes you appreciate what you have more when you know you sweat your ass off to get what you have. I see kids getting hundreds of dollars from their parents to go party and whatnot, and they usually (not always) turn out to be douchebags. I'm just rambling at this point, so i guess goodnight friends, I have a shitton of finals tomorrow.

Absolutely. I wrote an essay about corporate greed in America plus the effect on the working class dating back to the 1800's. So many parallels to today, from political bribery/loopholes, robber barons (ruthless CEO's that sacrifice workers for profit), racism, destruction and manipulation of the economy for short term gains, and the illusion of the American dream. Heavy shit.

As an American, I think that people that live off of the government should be forced to put in at least 30 hours of community service per week. A former neighbor of mine (plus her 8 kids that us taxpayers paid for) seemed quite offended at that.
