Funny how many of this new wave of "grime" producers used to make Burial-ish beats and have jumped on this bandwagon now.
At least one producer on there, I've seen ride the Burial wave, the "Deep House" wave, and now this 130 wave.

Yeah I know man, Asa had some good stuff for a "chill" producer, not sure why he felt the need to add to the endless General LOK/Alias/Musical Mob rips.Harkat wrote:Asa made chill step or some shite like that and now makes Kahn & neek style white man aggro grime

He looks EXACTLY like my mate but with a beard. I saw a picture on facebook before with like, Dusk, Blackdown, Emma, Wen all that lot and he was there with him, I asked him what he was doing there and he was just baffled. Until I saw that pic, I didn't know it was himkidshuffle wrote:That moleskin guy co owns a label called goon club? Im sure that guy is hard as nails

But Russia's long New Year's holidays, a period of traditional massive drunkenness, have also stoked macabre pranks.

To improve his moodA man called to report he was planning to set off a bomb on a bus in a Volgograd suburb, prompting police to dispatch teams with bomb-sniffing dogs to bus terminals around the city, the Interior Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
When investigators detained the caller, identified as a 24-year-old man with a prior criminal record, he told the police that he was drunk and placed his call on New Year's Day to "improve his mood," the ministry said.

see, im not keen this train of thought. its not bandwagoning, people are probably making it because their tastes have changed. for me, its cynical to say they are only making it because its HOT, its probably because they are genuinely feeling those tunes.garethom wrote:Funny how many of this new wave of "grime" producers used to make Burial-ish beats and have jumped on this bandwagon now.
Everyone's taste change, its natural. what the difference between that and me/you/anyone being told we are jumping on the '130' bandwagon
im sure there are people out there that do try and follow trends trying to gain mass followers/ profit/ whatever but not really people like this. there isn't a lot to gain in instrumental grime. just my imo/ a personal issue with the concept of 'bangwagons'

Yeah, this. I have a feeling it stems more from people hearing a tune and going "THIS IS SO COOL, I want to try something similar"murky21 wrote:see, im not keen this train of thought. its not bandwagoning, people are probably making it because their tastes have changed. for me, its cynical to say they are only making it because its HOT, its probably because they are genuinely feeling those tunes.garethom wrote:Funny how many of this new wave of "grime" producers used to make Burial-ish beats and have jumped on this bandwagon now.

That's how most of my rip-offs start anyway.

Re: Post Your Random Thoughts Thread!
Sorrow's grime tunes arn't that great, who else are you talking about?

Re: Post Your Random Thoughts Thread!
Surely if they've gone from Burial-ish to Grime then they've obviously been through a break up and gone from 'woe is me' to 'fuck bitches/get money'.
Re: Post Your Random Thoughts Thread!
Yeah yeah, I get that, but when you see a producer jump on basically EVERY trend fact mag has decided is big that quarter (for example, A1 Bassline) you do get a bit more cynical.
Don't think they're doing it for money, but IMO, they're just hopping on whatever trend comes up in the hope that someone like fact mag will pick up on them and they get their underground recognition.

Not on about Sorrow, haven't really listened to much of his grime stuff, he's still making his Burial-esque stuff too.southstar wrote:Sorrow's grime tunes arn't that great, who else are you talking about?
